Amazing house and owners

We had rented this house as a space for 8 women to get ready for a wedding. The house is amazing. Very beautiful and charming with tons of natural light. Fred and Linda are so genuine and sweet and want you to enjoy their property. The lake out back is such a joy. Definitely recommend especially for nature lovers. We will be back

Pleasant stay

Our family of 7 stayed at Wawayanda house for a small reunion to celebrate New Years. The house was clean, spacious and welcoming. There was enough room for two couples, two kids and a grandparent to spread out and have their quiet time. Kitchen and dining room are inviting and cozy and our family would gather there for tea and conversation. Kitchen had everything we needed to stay in and cook. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Kids enjoyed saying hi to neighbor's horses across the road and watching deer by the pond. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful and a delight to interact with. Overall it was a wonderful getaway for all of us.

Peaceful location

This property offers plenty of space for everyone. The views from the kitchen windows are amazing. The kids were able to see deers,turkeys and even a fox walking around near the pond. We stayed at this location for 3 nights and we didn’t have any issues at all. The owners were very helpful and professional. I would deff stay again at this location.

Great Place to for Rest/Relax/Work

This place was ideal for our film shoot and lodging for our film crew. Spacious, clean, & quiet made for perfect film shoot and rest for working crew. Would personally recommend for any type of getaway. Great views from the back patio, and cozy interiors.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming house. We were 8 adults out for an annual getaway. I personally loved the three fireplaces. The rooms were clean and creative. The master bedroom was especially charming with its own fireplace and wide glass windows looking out at the wilderness. We enjoyed the dining area and the music collection over dinner. Kitchen had everything we could need. And tons of games with friends. We walked the property also which is very charming. Can't wait to get back!

Beautiful Eclectic Fall Get Away

We were a multigenerational group of 9 visiting for a family wedding. The three bathrooms and 5 bedrooms were perfect for our group!! Everyone had plenty of room but we tended to congregate in the beautiful bright and cheery dining room. Lots of seating. The 60+ acres gave the boys plenty of room for running out their wiggles. We adults also enjoyed hiking this gorgeous property. Thank you Fred and Linda, your home is very fun and comfy and You were so gracious about our last minute change. The fruit and cookies on arrival were a pleasant touch. Plenty of towels and nice fresh sheets. A couple suggestions; buy a handheld hair drier and a box of wine glasses! I highly recommend this home for large family gatherings.

Home away from Home

This place is great, having two masters on each end of the house was great for us. Property is well taken care of, we enjoyed walking around the woods and seeing the old cabins from when this use to be a camp. Fred and His wife are very accommodating and will work with you on what ever needs you have. I would stay here again.

Everything was nice & well arranged. Very good spacious house to stay. But water heater has some problem in the morning. After 2 or 3 take shower, there is no hot water for some time.

This house is the best!!!

Loved everything. Quiet and spacious. My film crew could not stop raving about all of the amenities. The owner Fred is the best. He made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. I will be returning in a few months to hike the rest of the property.

Comfortable house in the woods

Fred and Linda were fantastic hosts. We felt like we were staying in a friend's home. The house was clean and comfortable, large yet cozy, full of beautiful antique furniture, and very well stocked with necessary and convenient things, such as spices. Loved the fireplaces! We had so much fun hiking on the property; the owners even gave us some pointers about where to go exploring. Very convenient to go visit Warwick, Wallkill, and Patterson. And not too bad to go in to visit New York City.

Six of us stayed at this residence and we all thought that it was excellent. The house was clean and comfortable. It is extremely spacious in a beautiful setting. Linda and Fred were very helpful,friendly and caring.The house was roomy,plenty of room and privacy.The beds and bedding comfortable and good quality.The land around was delightful.Very central located to everything.I would recommend this home .Coffee each morning in front of the large windows was a delight.Birds,deer,turkeys.The red vines wrapped around the trees like ribbons,glistening in the morning sun. Perfect home for a family getaway

The grandparents were up from Florida to see the grandkids and we needed a place where everyone could be together. This home was just what we needed. Clean, spacious, stocked kitchen, and beautiful grounds for leisurely strolls outside. We spent time exploring the woods and relaxing by the pond, and while we didn't use the fireplaces, we look forward to a return trip in the fall so we can take full advantage!

Beautiful Weekend Getaway

We stayed at this charming house while in town for a wedding nearby. How happy we were that we found this place. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accomodate our extended family. Very spacious, but we spent most of our time in the back dining area and deck where we could see the view of the property, along with deer, various birds and even a turkey! Hosts Fred and Linda had the house equipped with everything we needed and checked in with us to make sure we didn't need anything else. Beautiful home and property! Thank you.

Relaxing weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in this clean spacious home with our puppy dogs. The owners were very friendly and helpful and even gave us some maple syrup that they make themselves on the property. We loved cooking in the kitchen, relaxing by the homes multiple fire places and exploring the large beautiful park like property. Not much to do in the surrounding area, but we loved spending time at the house. A great birthday weekend was had by all.

Wonderful stay in Wawayanda

The property was beautiful, very fun to explore and hike. Our son loved playing at the pond and the creek, and going up to check out the old camp site was very cool. The home was very cozy with plenty of room for large families. The hosts were very helpful and went above and beyond for us when we accidentally left a few items. I can't wait to go back in the future if we find the time!

The pictures of the home does not do this place justice. it has three living room areas three fire places. the house is beautiful and the decor makes you feel like its a home away from home. mountain creek is 20 mins away of you want to go snow tubing and so is the winery. we went with couples a total of 8 people and no one was bumping into one another. you can walk on the property and there is a nice stream and pond in the back for viewing. if you want to leave the city best place to relax. the house was clean and the owners were extremely nice leaving directions to make your stay satisfying. we would def return!

Unwind and enjoy coziness in nature

Perfect relaxation ......great for gathering and still has niches for quiet time and meditation. Linda, the owner, could not have been more accommodating, all amenities in perfect order and super clean. I will recommend friends and family to enjoy this perfect spot far enough, yet close enough to restaurants, farms, charming towns and antique hunting. I will be back for a weekend with my family and friends. Great for mini-retreats and fabulous for "girl's weekend out" to have a glass of wine by the beautiful fireplaces....nothing could be better. Awesome!

If you are looking to have some relaxing family time, this is the place for you! We stayed here for my son's West Point graduation. Even though it was about a 45 minute drive, it was well worth it. After all the activities during the day it was so nice to come home to the peace and quiet. This property is so unique and full of warmth and charm. The views are breathtaking and every morning we had a visit from the deer while we had our coffee by the seating area in front of the window that faces the wooded area in the back. This was of course my favorite spot in the house! All of our family stayed here and there was plenty of room for everyone. Beds were super comfy and the linen was so soft. The owner, Linda, was amazing and made sure that we had all the little extras that we needed for our stay. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
