”Great location across from the park (museums, weekend live music, and dog walking) and walking distance to Haight. Also just a few blocks from the “N” train that takes you into downtown on Market. Very nice, chill staff made this a great weekend spot.”

”Such a clean and charming bed and breakfast with so much character. The shared spaces are welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic each and every day! The staff is exceptionally helpful and kind. The neighborhood is safe with a lot of food options and corner stores nearby. If you drive here, parking is challenging but not impossible I look forward to staying here again in the future.”

”The hotel is pretty and parking options are convenient. However, the fact that we could not control the temperature in our room is absolutely ridiculous. We checked in on Sunday and shortly after that we met friends for dinner. By the time we returned to our room, the temperature outside had dropped to 61 degrees. The thermostat in the room said 66. That is too cold to sleep. We adjusted the thermostat to heat and set it on 74. An hour later the fan was blasting and the inside temperature had...

”Loved our stay will be back”

”It definitely is more run down than the pictures and previous ratings show. There are way too many homeless people dirtying up the streets right outside the hotel. The restaurant and lounge are not in service. The room wasn’t very clean. The cement in the courtyard has old gum all over it. I understand that this place is old, but they can keep it cleaner. The staff was very friendly and the beds were comfortable. Could be a lot nicer. I won’t be staying there again or recommend anyone to stay....

”We really enjoyed our staying in stylish Proper Hotel San Francisco. We got excellent, yet easygoing service and ate delicios breakfast. The room itself was fine design with high quality toiletries. Because of the not-so-safe district where the hotel is, it’s good to understand, that the view out of the window and late walking on the streets is not recommended. Nevertheless these facts didn’t bother us too much.”
