Matkat – Milandhoo

Absolutely fantastic stay- we were met at Male airport and looked after to our flight to Ifuru Island which is outstanding. All the staff looked after us with extreme courtesy and were extremely welcoming. Everywhere was very clean and cared for and the food very variable and to a high standard. Snorkelling was amazing we saw fish/stingrays/reef sharks/turtles/ resident heron. On our return we were met again at Male airport and looked after and helped to check in for our flight home. Cannot recommend this Island strongly enough ! ALL the staff were very dedicated and very hard working and so sorry can’t remember everyone’s names but very much felt a warm/friendly/family atmosphere. Shout out to: Monika, Tharaka, Sara, Diva, Donni, manager of waterfront(sorry don’t know name), Shiyaau, Basse, Pradeeb, Shiva, Raazan, Juli, Ahmed, Fraish (sorry if spelt wrong - captain of Komomo) thank you to everyone for a very special holiday

Mahtava paikka, mökki merellä upea. Palvelu loistavaa, mutta hidasta. Ruoka buffassa loistavaa. Kauppa olematon, aktiviteetteja sopivasti.

Wundervolles Resort, freundliches Personal, sauber.

Das Sun Siyam Iru Veli ist ein sehr schönes, eher kleineres Resort. Ideal für Paare. Wir haben unsere Ruhe dort sehr genossen und gut gegessen und getrunken. Im All inclusive ist wirklich alles enthalten was man sich nur vorstellen kann! Der Service ist sehr gut und man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Perfekt zum Schnorcheln! Wir haben kleine Haie, viele bunte Fische und sogar eine Schildkröte gesehen. Wir können das Hotel wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

We had chosen a beach villa which promises to have a direct beach access. It's worth noticing though that the beach access is not good from all the beach villas, ours for example had a concrete fence between the sand and the ocean. Easy to climb over during high tide, not so pretty during low tide. When we asked if it would be possible to change villas we were told that they only had worse options available. The private pool on the other side of the villa was nice though. Good house reef so you won't necessarily have to take a boat to go snorkling. Overall the resort seemed a bit worn out. Service from front desk staff was not up to standard with requests simply ignored even though they promised to get back to us so we had to keep reminding them. Breakfast was ok but otherwise price-quality ratio for food was poor (expensive but not good).
