”Saw this place on hotel.com and thought I’d give it a whirl. ”Quick response to our question when we got there. Quiet and peaceful, I never heard the barges go by. Easy to find. Short drive to town for groceries and to Maquoketa Cave State Park. Daughters thought their beds upstairs were a little hard (personal preference), but the one downstairs was very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Best set of skillets I have seen in a rental.”

”We came in for a girls weekend getaway. Lori and Terry’s house was perfect for our stay! So cute and comfortable! It had everything we needed including the perfect location for a trip to the area state parks as well as some fun shopping in Dubuque. Both Terry and Lori were very accommodating and quickly responded to any questions we had. Highly recommend - we plan to come again!”

”Ensure you have AWD or 4WD and good tires. It’s a 10 miles drive on a very muddy/gravel, low maintained road with lots of holes. There were several times my van almost got stuck and I was sliding all over the road.
