”Lovely guest house, we only stayed one night. We had a wonderful view well stocked mini bar and very comfortable bed. ”

”We had no problem with our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Service and food was excellent. The only drawback was the hotel has a generator, but during loadshedding all the plugs and lights are off. So during the evenings you only have a small light in the room. If you are an outdoor person, there are lots to do during the day. We will definitely go back if they do an upgrade on their generator.”

”Located right beside a quiet, peaceful stretch of beach the setting is perfect with beautiful views from the dining room. Just a short walk away is the waterfront with all its trendy restaurants. It’s also only about a 5-minute walk to the main beach and strip of eateries. The staff were super-friendly and helpful. There’s a lovely honesty bar. All in all a superb venue for a weekend. ”

”Lovely property in a prime position just a few minutes walk to the beach. Rooms (superior) very comfortable and clean, staff were lovely and attentive. Food in the restaurant was excellent, but the service was slow. We pre ordered our breakfast on the day we left as we needed to get on the road as it was a long journey, that worked out well. The waterfront just up the road is worth a visit. Would recommend.”

”Second time we stayed at Gonana, right on the beach. Nice firm bed, hot breakfast. Would be nice to have a small fridge in the bedroom to keep water cool on the hot day. Anytime self service upstairs at the breakfast/ lunch area. Definitely, we will be back”

”We loved this place! The ocean view from our room was spectacular. We checked out a few other places in town that are more expensive and the view from the Linhof is the best! Breakfast was excellent. Shirley, the manager who runs this place, merits special mention. She helped us get our bags upstairs, served us our breakfast and always had a smile and a kind word. We will definitely return.”

”Alabaster Box certainly is doing something right! Besides the home being immaculately kept, the service is top notch. Upon entering my room I was met with the most beautiful scent of sandalwood. A small fridge, and kettle were available for my snacks and tea. The shower was absolutely amazing, and much needed after a long car ride! The balcony even had views of the lagoon. There’s a serene koi pond in the back, and pool as well. Most of all, I felt safe as a solo female. May God bless this...
