On Sunday evening the power was out from 10pm until 9am.
We had poor service from the general manager who never responded to our email below:
I’m sending this email from the nearby Equator Coffee Shop to use their wifi as the power is still out at the hotel.
I would like to request a credit for last night’s stay as with a power outage from 10pm (and as of 8am still no power) I paid for services that I didn’t not receive (power, internet, heat, shower, breakfast).
I would also like to draw your attention to another unfortunate gap in service that occurred yesterday. When I returned from cycling at 2pm yesterday my key card no long worked. I was informed at the front desk that I was checked out per my reservation (However when I checked in it was clearly for 5 nights.) I was asked to produce my proof of booking again and then informed it was a system glitch and room keys were reactivated.
I travel here several times a year to enjoy the great trail running and cycling, I have always been satisfied with your Mill Valley Holiday Inn but this trip I am disappointed.
I would at the minimum request a refund of last night’s stay and I hope by the time I return to the hotel the power is back on so Leah and I can shower up and get on with more fun adventures!
