”The proprietor is also the chef and a world class one. He was extremely accommodating in getting us into our rooms early. The evening three course menu was so good that we took the beef for our lunch when we left. Great stay”

”Had to make a last-minute reservation and made a mistake with it, but the hotel was very kind and understanding. Got the upper double room with mountain view for one night during our Mosel bike trip. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast gave us energy to continue our ride. A wonderful stay; highly recommended!”

”Very nice hotel. I have not even one bad word to say about the hotel - it was clean, very tidy, bathroom was outstanding. When u close the windows it was very quiet, even thou the hotel is right on the road. Balcony was very spacious, was nice to sit and have a glass of wine with a view on the river and the castle. Breakfast was very rich - everything you could ask for from eggs and sausages to fruits and freshly brewed coffee. I would definitely stay there again. The only minus it is a little...

”It is worth to spend the small extra amount to get the view of the Porta Nigra. Room was very spacious and had all the necessary amenities. The hotel doesn’t have the newest of interiors but it is still intact and functional Only negative side was the cleaning crew, they came very early every day. On the day of our departure they knocked the door at 8:55!”

”No air condition it was 33° outside and I think the room was even hotter. We slept in our car for the night.”

”Great location. Very beautiful and comfortable. Offered discount for parking and had a place to store our bicycles overnight. The room was spacious and had good amenities. It is old so the floors squeaked in some places. The rainfall shower head was leaky and in need of replacement, but did not interfere with showering. Best of all was a small fridge and a fan. Would highly recommend!”
