Great location on the river

Really nice location right on the river. We were able to fish all weekend. The fire pit seating area was awesome for the evenings. And the hot tub was clean and in good working order. Glad to be within 20 minutes of town too. The neighbors dog, the one with the rebel flag, was a little bit of a nuisance. They let it run free and though she was sweet, she wanted a lot of attention and bits of unattended food. We’d gladly stay again though.

Sitting outside by the river in a hottub is the ultimate pleasure . The firepit is also fantastic.

Great little cabin right on the river

This is a nice three-bedroom property with direct river access just 20 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. We went for Spring Break, and it was perfect for my mom and me and two young children, who loved the bunk bed room. The space was clean and well-kept, and there's a hot tub and a dock outside. My only big recommendation would be to know where you're going before you get there after dark because it's down a gravel road with limited cell service and to come with all your supplies loaded up in your car as the house is equipped with salt and that's it (no coffee or other cooking staples). And while the closest grocery store is just 15 minutes away, you're not going to want to make that drive multiple times. But other than that, we had a great stay and would book this place again!

Neat cabin with big front yard

The cabin had everything we needed for cooking. Everything was pretty clean and in working order. The river is really pretty and rises when they open the dam. The beds were comfortable. The back yard is great with a fire pit and deck over the water. The front yard was big and had tons of room for the kids to play. Over all a great place and would definitely stay again.

Great Cabin

Cabin was great, we really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit in the cold weather. We also used the wood burning fireplace. The river was amazing as well.

On the river

GreAt views of the river. ! Hot tub right off the porch for another great view !cabin is a little older but has everything you need it snowed & our heat worked good & used the fireplace too ! The fire 🔥 pit & grill were great for cook outs & s’mores..the only problem was the garbage was not picked up prior to us coming & therefore it was a little of an eyesore .

The River Cabin review

Property was not spotless but not dirty either. Cobwebs and tons of dust above the living room TV. Stainless refrigerator looked like it was cleaned with a greasy rag. Depart instructions said to strip sheets off the bed and start a load of towels. Why did I pay a cleaning fee? Master bedroom had no closet and no hanging space of any kind. Good location. Saw deer on the property two different times. Overall just won't go back.

WOW better than listed UPGRADED

I usually don't leave reviews but this cabin has been UPGRADED. Why they don't show the new pictures idk. All rooms have doors, upgrades everywhere, had games for the kids which we needed on a rainy evening. I will absolutely stay here again. Only complaint is that getting to the dock requires you to go down a very steep ramp. 5 stars all the way

Wood Cabin on the River

Very nice cabin and well kept. Right on the river with beautiful views. No salt/pepper, olive oil or other seasonings so be sure to bring your own.

Great getaway from the heat wave at home!

The cabin was beautiful and in a great location. The toilets could be upgraded to a standard size. These were kiddie size and as I had 4 adults, I heard plenty of complaints. I expect critters and such, especially that close to the water, but maybe add some roach motels to the rooms. These are minor things...the cabin was still beautiful. We enjoyed the water, the view, and most definitely the cooler weather! Thank you!

O....M....G!! Best ever!

I booked this trip as a "Golden Girls " vacation for my 2 older sisters (63&61) and I (57). We had a awesome time. We fell In love with the lake house. We checked in on Monday and never left the property until check out day!!! Beautiful, peaceful, house was clean and charming with all the wood furnishings. Back of the house was awesome, mere feet from the lake that's teaming with wildlife! I didn't catch any fish...water was only ankle deep but clear. About 7 deer crossed the river straight up in the back and went to the front of the house!! Thanks Vacasa 😊! We will book again!!

Fun fishing cabin on the River

Perfect for a quiet getaway. Town was close by & the fishing was great off the dock & at the dam. Great restaurants & shops nearby.

Location and river - excellent; cabin was dated

Stayed with a family of 4 for three nights in November. The riverfront view was great, and we had a family of deer playing in the large, flat front yard in the mornings. The cabin interior felt dated, and the layout was strange. The main bedroom on the main floor has no door, and has a pass-through window from the main bath. No privacy in any of the bedrooms. The cabin's amenities seemed to be the bare minimum. No extra blankets, no games provided, and the pots and pans have seen better days. Clean and adequate but not very welcoming. Enjoy the view, hot tub and backyard, but bring anything with you that you'll need.

Fall Break Getaway

The outdoor area of the property was lovely being right on the river. There was a nice screened in porch and hot tub that we used each day of our visit. The hammock and rocking chairs were also very relaxing. On the inside there were a few problems. First, the downstairs toilet didn't work. We arrived on a Monday evening and I placed the call to the property managers the next morning at 9 am to let them know. By around 2 pm the same day, we had sugar ants all over the kitchen counter and had also discovered that the bath tub (being the only bathing option in the master) did not plug in order to allow the tub to be filled with water. I called the property managers again and let them know of these two additional problems and asked about the status of someone coming out to fix all three issues. I was told that the ticket had been assigned. Sadly, no one came until Wednesday around noon. By then I had fixed the downstairs toilet myself. The person who came did not fix the other two problems but said would be back later that day. They did not return until Thursday about 18 hours before we had to leave. Again, sadly, the tub plug they left at the front door did not work for this tub. The fact that these basic necessities were unusable for part (the toilet) and all (the bathtub) of our four night stay was very disappointing. I would not recommend staying here unless you don't mind having limited bathroom access and lengthy fix-it times.

Great home!!

I thought this property was perfect for our family of 4 and will stay here again. Loved the big front yard, having the river running through the backyard and ample amount of space to relax outside and enjoy nature.

Property Management

The property was beautiful and the river was amazing. It was very convenient to Blue Ridge and Ellijay. Our stay was pleasant, but there were major issues with property management that should have been dealt with in a checklist prior to our arrival. Two hours before check-in, the property manager called and said that the hot tub wasn't working and no one could come to fix it. We accepted this issue and were offered a "hot tub fee" refund since there were no other properties to relocate to and cancelling a long awaited, much needed anniversary vacation two hours before it was to even begin was not an option. Upon arriving at the property and settling in, we spent the good part of two hours trying to get the Live TV/Satellite to work. It kept reading “Acquiring Signal.” We could not watch any local sports/news; Atlanta Braves games, GA Tech's first game of the season, local news/weather, etc. (which is a major thing for our household). On-demand/DVR television doesn't work for us as we watch live TV. When the PM was called about the issue, he stated to restart the system (which we had already done several times trying to trouble shoot ourselves being technologically capable) and his reply was that someone would have to be home/there in order for the satellite provider to assess the situation. We didn’t come on vacation to handle household issues with the property. This long weekend/anniversary getaway was turning out to be a great disappointment and hassle. We woke up each morning to an infestation of ants that covered a large part of the kitchen counters and all over our food (packaged, not left out from the night before). The stopper/plunger for the jacuzzi tub upstairs in the Master Loft bedroom wasn't functioning, so water would not fill the tub in order for it to be utilized. Upon checking out, I contacted the PM again in search of the owner’s email so as to not have to leave a negative review and inform them of some maintenance issues that could have been preventatively avoided, but was again diverted stating, “The Vacasa team will address all concerns for the property.” I don’t believe that it is too much to ask for the amount of money that was paid for the listed amenities of the property to be fully accessible. I shouldn’t be having to call and spend large periods of time on the phone or texting informing about the multitude of issues that were encountered. The property receives 4 stars. Property Mgt- 1

Even better than it looks

This cabin was delightful, and the location is superb. I would stay here again easily. I recommend kayaking with Blue Ridge Mountain Kayaking.
