This location is conveniently located within 3 miles of the MSP airport and right next to the Mall of America, right off major highway access in the Twin Cities. Despite that, the noise level is very reasonable. The property is clean and well-maintained. The staff really stand out as excellent, from the check-in desk to the team in the restaurant, who are very professional and friendly, offering lovely service for a high-volume site. On my recent stay, I chose this for location primarily, needing a quick and and out of the airport at a reasonable price. I was pleased with the condition of the room, the evidence of sustainability efforts, and clean and well-functioning appointments in the room. The bed was very comfortable, towels were thick and cozy. The property felt safe and comfortable. My only complaint/suggestion is that there is LOTS of parking available on a surface lot yet the hotel charged $15 extra per day for self-parking through a third-party parking service that was not evident at all. That seems like a bad public relations move - not sure if it is to discourage parking or just a way to keep the room rate low but add on an extra charge to increase the total bill. This is the first time I have seen a parking fee for self parking when there is clearly no shortage of space at a hotel in this sort of situation, and it just feels not quite right and leaves a less than positive feel for what was otherwise a lovely stay. Would be happy to stay there again.
