”We were extremely well taken care of and enjoyed experiencing a more traditional stay. The location was excellent. The service, especially Hurumi were lovely and attentive. The chef did an amazing job making two incredible dinners for us. We loved the roof top bar. ”

”What a great ryokan experience! Definitely a highlight of our trip. This was our introduction to an onsen and it was perfect. The meals are a must! The food is so fresh and delicious. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend the Grand Hotel Arimoto and would come again.”

”The hotel was really close to the Ferry Terminal and we were able to drop our bags and head off quickly to see the sites. Restaurants close early on the island so eat around 5-6pm. Staying overnight lets you go up the ropeway at 9am before the day crowds hit (they are substantial). We went over on the JR Ferry and came back on the fast boat to the Hiroshima Peace Park. The Ropeway is excellent. Hotel breakfast is very good. ”

”We really enjoyed the Japanese-style room with tatami and futons - something very different from the western-style rooms we had stayed at otherwise. Everything was clean and well taken care of, albeit a little dated. Both the breakfast and dinner were an experience with a plethora of dishes we would normally never come across.
