The rooms are private and comfortable and full of character. This is definitely one of the most authentic and memorable stays of our trip.”

The kitchen, living room, toilets, and bathroom are all shared with the other guests. The house is lovely but has very thin walls and doors and you can hear all the other guests, even when they are trying to be very quiet. ”This is an authentic Japanese Ryokan, where you sleep on mats on the floor. We used three mats each to be comfortable. The room was spacious. The bathroom is immaculate and we loved using the onsen or hot bath. The Japanese breakfast was absolutely delicious and included a great variety of foods. The staff was gracious and very helpful. We could store our luggage and they got us a taxi when we left. I highly recommend this place for an authentic Japanese inn experience. It is literally across...
