My name is Geanette Gross Perkins. I made reservations through Expedia around 5:00 AM on December 17, 2025 to stay overnight at the Fairfield Inn Suite by Marriott located at 950 A W I-65 Service Rd S, Mobile, AL 36609. My confirmation/ itinerary number is 73329362360260 (see attached) emailed to me at 8:11 AM by Expedia.
Upon arrival I was tired after a four hour drive only to have my check-in delayed because the on duty very dry and abrupt front desk clerk Dasia told me after requesting my ID and me providing it stated she did not see a reservation in my name.
I was shocked to hear this because Expedia had already deducted the room rate from my bank account and had sent me a confirmation email.
I asked Dasia what happens next, she dryly stated I could make a reservation or call Expedia. I proceeded to call Expedia. They found my reservation and informed me they would call Fairfield’s front desk. It turns out Dasia did not search my name properly. She tried to defend her incompetence by saying Expedia had placed a hyphen between my last name.
I’m taking a deep sigh because of my anxiety and anger. I provided my ID again. Dasia did not apologize but tried to defend her incompetence.
I went up to my room (219) but had to change rooms because the air conditioner in 219 did not work. Dasia informed me very dryly not apologetically that I had to change rooms because I could not have two active keys.
