The place was clean, well equipped and had a wonderful view of the Douro valley. We really enjoyed our stay and I think this wonderful house added to our enjoyment of Portugal as a whole.”

”We had a fabulous time at casa do Monte! The villa is perfect for large families, well equipped and the grounds are beautiful. Marcus was very accommodating and even arranged for us to have a traditional Portuguese BBQ. I highly recommend this villa.”

”the people we spoke with were nice. However it was not the unit that was shown in ad. No heat for two nights, wifi did not work. The actual property owner never did respond to our questions about the hear or wifi. The neighbour helped us out.”

”The look, directly from the heights of the river valley, down to the river or the valley mountains on the other side, was breathtaking. The house and it’s surrounding is well maintained and has everything you need for a comfortable stay ( incl. central heating etc) You definitely need a car, as it’s kind of remote. The weather begin of May was cold and rainy, but the house has a lot of space to make even that relaxing.”

”We had an excellent time in Regua staying at the "Hidden Gem". The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the rooftop terrace was an awesome spot to look over the city and the river with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Great location, great restaurant 2 doors up the street. Jose was very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend!”

”The area was gorgeous and the view could not be beat. We made fresh orange juice and lemonade from the citrus trees, walked in the vineyard and cork forest, and enjoyed the quiet. The downside was the drive- it was a bit far from town and needs to be driven in daylight- do not attempt at night (single lane, tight curves, no guardrails, very rural). The house was spacious but could use some upgrades.”
