”We throughly enjoyed our stay in this 2 bedroom condo in the Honua Kai resort. We have previously rented many condos but none were as clean at this one was upon our arrival. Communication with the host, Fereshteh was excellent. We had one small issue that was resolved quickly. Some of the small details included: shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in each shower; dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, garbage bags,use of 4 beach chairs, beach umbrella, pool noodles and cooler. ”We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Maui condo. Fransceso was an excellent host! His communication cannot be beat. He sent detailed check-in instructions along with helpful information about the area. He called before, during and after our stay to make sure everything went well for us. ”Honua Kai resort is lovely. Multiple pools for all ages. Duke's restaurant very good. Our accomodations were adequate, not luxurious. Staff is accomodating. Property manager has the reputation of being "strict" according to valet service, so don't try to check in before 11!”

”Great unit and location. As others stated the unit is dated but it was very clean and has everything you need as well as extras like beach equipment, chairs, a cooler and lots of kitchen essentials. Walking distance to ABC, a grocery store and food trucks. The view was outstanding and the pools and grounds were beautiful. Would definitely book this unit again. ”

”This is a perfect unit in a very nice building right on the waterfront. The unit was clean, very comfortable and well appointed. There was even a blender to make smoothies. Great view of the beach and the ocean. The lobby, barbecue and parking were spacious, clean and easy to use. Great location and good access to shops and restaurants. We’ll be coming back for sure!”

Facility and service falling apart
"A very underwhelming experience. A property whose glory days are behind it. We got a message a few days in advance that the air conditioning will be out of order until June. Not a big deal, but it left a sour taste that the attendant in check-in told us "I just heard that the air conditioniong in your room is out of order". Later we found out that also the laundry room and the gym were out of order as they had experienced a fire of the electricity system. Lack of transperency is disappointing. We stayed 4 nights, and were told there would be cleaning service only every 3 days. After 3 nights the room was not done. I asked about it and the attendant promised to have it done. No-one ever came and no-one ever said anything about it. When I checked out I mentioned it and the answer was literally a shrug. No-one seems to care about anything. I´ve been trying to think of something positive to say. Let´s go with that the butterfish in the restaurant was tasty."
