”A 10 minute walk from Onomichi station, area is a bit gloomy at night and no eating places nearby. Provides a mix of private rooms with bathroom and hostel rooms with shared facilities, this is not unusual in Japan. There is a bar and some breakfast foods with kettle in the room. No great on sound proofing but quiet generally from 10-630, say, so fine for sleeping on firm bed. Good value.”

”This place was perfect for our multi-family group coming through for the Shimanami Kaido. The place was immaculately clean and had everything we needed even slippers. It was a beautiful authentic Japanese space with all the modern amenities.
There’s not a lot around but Family Mart is about a 5 min bike ride away. We ordered breakfast through this stay with Wakka which was about a less than min bike ride away. I would definitely recommend this place - a great value stay.”

”This was our (family of four age 9 and 11 kids) first Ryokan experience. It was incredible. We loved the authentic Japanese feel. It was an adventure getting there on a boat and we rented bikes next door for a beautiful all day ride. It’s a great spot to ride from in the middle of the Kaido. If you want a traditional, relaxing stay—book this! We hope to return. (We did 2 rooms with 2 people each because the bedrooms are smallish.)”
