Just an hour drive from Porto you can discover an awesome place called the Alvão Nature Park. Within this park there is a waterfall called Fisgas do Ermelo.

I took this picture while we were hiking in there a month ago, this is the first part of the waterfall. Also here you can take a dip in the natural ponds called Piocas de Cima.

”This is a room to remember! It is apparently new judging from the pristine condition and stylish modern amenities. The private hot tub on the patio is a welcome amenity after a long day of sightseeing and port wine tasting. The view out the windows is pastoral and inviting. Its just a short distance from the town, but its not practical to walk anywhere from here so we recommend if you have a car or are happy to use rideshares. The driveway entrance is non-descript so pics are below to help...

”My wife and I celebrated our 25 year wedding anniversary at the Quinta. It's location made it convenient to visit local museums, wineries and Churches. The location also allowed us to explore many nearby small towns for amazing meals and to meet lovely people. Porto is only ~1.4hrs by tollway, which is 90% of the travel. We highly recommend taking the train, just across the Douro in Régua, out to Pocinho for a relaxing lunch and walk around the quaint town before returning. The railway view...

”The stay was really good. I was born in Guimarães so i know the area. The location was really good, right in the heart of the city. The apartment was really nice, with everything you need to jave a good thime and the AC was a must. The parking of the city is not ideal but not that bad neither and if you dont have a car or dont need the car too often, you can't find a better location to be in. Close to everything.... shopping, amusement areas, historic places, restaurants, night life... really...
