Mökki-elämä - nauti rauhasta metsässä ja juhlissa järvellä!

Nauti SML: stä kauniilta, aitolta hirsitaloltamme, jossa on 3 makuuhuonetta ja 3 kylpyä. Tämä hytti on muotoiltu ammattitaitoisesti, se on rakennettu 1980-luvulla vanhoilla tukkeilla, noin 1825. Vaikka rakennusmateriaali on lähes 200 vuotta vanha, siinä on kaikki modernit mukavuudet, mukaan lukien uudet keskuslämmitys ja ilmastointi, kauniit puulattiat ja massiivipuiset ovet. Meillä on HD-televisio, jossa on Blu Ray / DVD-soitin ja paljon elokuvia, sekä kirjoja, paljon pelejä ja hyvin varusteltu keittiö. Tuo uimapuku ja paljon parkitusvoidetta ja hyödynnä valtavaa, kaksitasoista telakkaa. Sido veneesi tai vesiskootterisi telakkaan - tai käytä hyväksi omistajia 3 kajakkia, meloa vene ja kelluvia leluja. Kalaa, pelaa maissireikää (laudat toimitetaan) tai rentoudu ja lue kirja telakalla tai talon isolla takakannella. Grilli kuin pomo? Meillä on suojattu. Tuntuuko retkeltä? - Suuntaa vain 7 mailin päässä autolla sijaitsevalle SML State Park -puistoon. Sijaitsee rauhallisella laella, vain muutaman sadan metrin päässä pääkanavalta (lähellä R27: tä), täältä löydät R&R: n, mielenrauhalla tietäen, että olet edelleen lähellä kaikkia tarvitsemiasi mukavuuksia - Autolla: Ruoka Leijona on 4 mailin päässä ja Hales Fordin silta on 7 mailia. 40 minuuttia Liberty University -stadionille ja 1 tunti 20 minuuttia Lane-stadionille Blacksburgissa! Se ei yksinkertaisesti ole parantunut kuin mökki elämää järvellä!

Kaupunginosa-alueella HOA on veneenkäynnistys, joka sijaitsee noin kilometrin päässä talosta. Mainitsimmeko, että 3 mailin päässä on kaksi viinitilaa (Hickory Hillin viinitila ja Ramulose Ridgen viinitila)?

Vain 44 mailin päässä matkustamosta, noin 45 minuutin ajomatkan päässä, mainittava retki on McAfee Knob (Catawba-vuoren huipulla), yksi nautinnollisimmista ja luonnonkauneimmista päiväretkistä Appalakkien polulla - erittäin suositeltava!

Sesonkiaikana siivousmaksu sisältää liinavaatteet. Tuo omat rantapyyhkeet laiturille ja veneelle. Ota yhteyttä omistajaan keskustelemaan sesongin siivousmaksuista ja yhden yön hinnoista. Ota yhteyttä omistajaan keskustellaksesi käyttörajoista.

Labor Day Getaway

Nice trip! The cabin was comfortable and cute. Plenty of room for us all. The walk to the lake was fairly short and the wide steps help a lot when you have bad knees! The dock was lovely with the refrigerator, chairs and a swing. We enjoyed being able to bring our pet! The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking tools, pots, pans and we didn't want for a thing! Thank you to our host for being communicative and informative -

Cabin and Lake Life!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Listing description is accurate, but the experience was even better than we could’ve imagined. Great location @SML with grocery only 10 minute trip and easy boating to everything the lake has to offer. Swimming off the dock is fantastic, and we enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat around the quiet cove. Grilling out on the deck and S’mores at the fire pit, hiking at the state park, and relaxing in the cozy, well-appointed cabin - love the rustic feel with all the modern amenities…we’ll be back!

Our family of 6 enjoyed our week at the cabin on the lake. The cabin is charming and met all of our expectations. We especially enjoyed the 2 level dock/boathouse in the quiet cove and the easy access to the main lake.

Wonderful Cabin Stay

Truly an amazing getaway! Incredible stay in an authentic log cabin. The owners were fantastic to work with and very prompt on getting back to us with answers to our questions. The property is kept immaculate and is surrounded by trees that provide an incredible canopy of shade to help keep the cabin cool in the summer. An amazing double decker (docker?) with a neat bar area that allowed us to keep our drinks cold in the provided mini fridge. It also allowed us to store our life vests during our stay. We enjoyed the firepit during the evenings and made smores - which were a hit with our 2 grandsons. :) We loved having access to the paddle boat and 3 kayaks. And our 3 year old Golden Retriever loved the lake, as well. We couldn't keep her out of the water! :) The only thing that would have made the stay better was to have a boat so we could enjoy the entire lake. Next time, for sure!

Awesome property and location!

My family loved everything about this cabin. The cabin is very comfortable and equipped with everything you could need and the hosts have provided many extras including a well stocked kitchen, a hammock, corn hole boards, games, kayaks and paddle boat. The dock is a great addition that we were able to tie our boat to during our stay. The location on the lake is close to the main part of the lake but away from the busy boat traffic. The property is very wooded but has excellent path lighting to the dock and looks beautiful in the evening. The hosts where wonderful to work with and provided excellent communication throughout the entire renting process. We had the best time at SML and hope to return next summer to this same wonderful place!

This log cabin is legit

The workmanship of the cabin is very nice. It was built in the 1980s with reclaimed logs that are well over 100 years old. Really cool, but also very comfortable. The AC worked great. Appliances (dishwasher and oven) were maybe from the 1980s, but amazingly, they worked very well. There were good, sharp knives. The grill was decent and there was extra propane. There was adequate dishes, glasses, pots/pans, and silverware. We used the big iron skillet every day. The listing is slightly confusing/off. The BR listed with 2 queens has only one bed. There was a mattress in one of the closets, so we used that. The den listed with sleep sofa is the main family room. Beds were comfortable. No TVs in the bedrooms, but we actually brought one with a FireTV. The internet is good, with close to 100mbps down. The 3rd bathroom is in the basement with a separate entry. Not ideal, but it is convenient to the dock. There is also laundry in the basement which we put to good use. There are a lot of supplies in the dock shed, including kayaks, paddles, life jackets, floaties, and a small fridge. There is also a full size fridge in the basement that we used for drinks. We had an issue with dock repairs occurring during our stay. The owner did communicate with us to make sure it was ok. The company doing the repairs was very flaky, but the owner did everything he could to get them to finish. Some funds were refunded make up for the trouble and ownership was very apologetic. Overall, this is a nice place, in a very nice cove, with good ownership. I would recommend.

Wonderful week at the lake

This was our first visit to SML. The house and property were just as advertised. We had a very relaxing week. The house had everything we needed for our stay, and the grocery store and restaurants were very easy to get to.

The Lane Cabin

The cabin is very comfortable and has a lot of charm. The location on the lake is excellent, the quiet cove is great sitting and swimming. By car it is easy (for the lake area) to get to the grocery and other stores.

Peace and Quiet

We had a wonderful stay at the lake cabin. We found the kitchen to be well appointed and the beds comfortable. We rented a boat and were able to enjoy cruises and fishing on the lake. We also hiked in SML State Park, played cornhole and visited the wineries. Our kids even did the "Polar Plunge" in the 52F lake water. Something for everyone. I am happy to say, I am the undisputed cribbage champion of the the vacation!

Perfect!

We booked this as a last minute option to celebrate NYE/New Year. What a wonderful property. Clean, well laid out, all amenities as described. We enjoyed everything - especially the views from the 2nd floor dock. Campfire each night, hike each morning (at the nearby State Park) and lots of relaxing in between. Highly recommend!!

Relax by the lake!

Perfect house for our family vacation (two adults & three kids). The house is in a great location, very quiet and comfortable. Lots to do outdoors, we boated, fished, kayak'd and hiked. Easy check in / check out and good communication from owners. If you are visiting SML, this is a great place to stay!! Thank you!!

Great location in beautiful setting!

We had a wonderful week in this charming waterfront log cabin. So many lovely places to relax and enjoy the outdoors--the shady back deck, the backyard hammock, the wood porch swing on the dock, or the sunny top deck. We used the property's paddle boat or kayaks and cooled off in the lake floating on foam noodles and keeping an eye out for the beautiful blue heron that flew by almost every day. The gas grill on the back deck was perfect for easy dinners and there is a fire pit for toasting hot dogs and marshmellows.at night. The cabin is near stores and other conveniences and two wineries. Very comfortable furnishings. The owners are very helpful and responsive. The cabin was perfect for us and we hope to return!
