”The key was collected from the shop serving the petrol station which I didn’t know at the time. There is a Greggs and Subway which is very handy for food etc. also the garage station is a Londis which sells items as well. The actual rooms are located behind the building of Greggs and Subway hidden away from the main public area and road. My room was clean and the bathroom was clean and functional. ”A 3-star hotel / bed-and-breakfast - very personal, friendly service. The hotel is visited daily by locals buying newspapers. All meals cooked to order, including breakfast - a nice change to the usual experience in hotels nowadays. We turned up at about 4.30pm to find opening time was 5pm - we must have missed this in the instructions. The hotel was open promptly at 5 pm however. On the Sunday the bar closed at 5pm so dinner had to be elsewhere - not a problem for us as we always tend to have...

”The room was very spacious and comfortable everything and more was provided for our stay. Was offered a cream tea on arrival which of course we excepted. There was a great choice at breakfast. Terri was a wonderful host full of local knowledge. Would highly recommend. Crosscombe was a lovely village with a great pub serving good food. There was a bar at the b and b.”

”Hi Jamie is a lovely young lady that runs the pub. Very helpful. The property is an old pub. There’s homemade food but no breakfast. But up the hill is a great cafe called The Hive. Unfortunately due to the heat we had to have window wide open, the problem is that it’s a is a busy road and therefore you hear lots of traffic noise even late at night .
