”Cute from the outside and pretty clean but the rooms and the beds, were very small. The walls were paper thin and the AC noisy. The pillows were uncomfortable and overall none of us got a good nights sleep. We spent 8 nights on a CA roadtrip and unfortunately this hotel was the one we couldn’t wait to leave.”

Bed was nice and shower clean.
At night we noticed that the door wouldn't lock and had to change room. Otherwise everything went well.”

”I was very happy with Steinbeck Lodge. I appreciated the pull out desk area and convenient media center with assorted outlets.
The coffee machine is good, but does not stop at one cup if you put any extra water in it. It might be nice to have a signs that says to limit the water input to only one cup, even if you plan to make 2 cups. This way the cup won’t overflow.
I would stay there again and did appreciate the careful thought that went into this place.”

”Nice and clean suite. Great location near the beach. Free parking. Very good service. Breakfast was modest but did it's job. Would recommend! ”

”We stayed there two nights during our roadtrip. The hotel was quite nice. We had to be in contact to the hotel beforehand several times, since the reception closes already at 5pm. The rooms were spacious but a bit worn out, our friends bathroom door was stucked, but luckily the staff was still there when it happened. There was an odd moldy odour in the room. Otherwise the location was good, near the ocean and Monterey and the center of Pacific Grove can be easily reached by bus or by car. ”
