Maalaistalot – Monterroso

”Absolutely beautiful place to stay . Captures everything I loved about the Camino . Surrounded by fields , set in quintessential gardens with a horreo and intimate seating areas . Somewhere to dry your handwashing too ! All the staff we met were very helpful- including the driver who picked us up in Palai de Rei . Food good too . Unfortunately they had a power cut whilst we were there but the staff were amazing- candles were placed around and they still made our dinner which was delicious. Not...

”El entorno y el establecimiento excepcionales, pero lo mejor la amabilidad con la que nos atendieron.”

”This property was beautiful. We were greeted by a delightful, friendly young lady who was helpful in everyway. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious and beautifully presented. We knew this property was a little bit off the direct Camino path but it was well worth it! We would absolutely stay here again. It was one of our favorites!”

”Comfortable stay deep in the mountains with stunning views and pleasing decor, except for the insects that bothered just one of us at night The apartment had 3 levels with the steep stairs to the bathroom below, it took time to get used to it. The road close to the location is narrow, curvy and challenging but worth the drive. The host did not speak English. The kitchen had everything we needed except for the lid for the kettle. We appreciate that place like that existed deep in nature.”

”Todo el alojamiento es magnífico y Marisol, que nos atendió, un encanto. Lo peor son las carreteras de la zona hasta llegar.”

”Warm welcome Friendly staff Unique location”

”What a delightful place to spend a couple of days. Anna and David were excellent hosts - very friendly and full of information and advice about the best places to visit etc. Plus a great dog and 2 cats.”

”Cannot speak more highly about the staff and the hotel! This was fantastic! Beautiful ‘rustic’ castle in the countryside-showers with soooo much water pressure; unbelievably helpful and friendly staff throughout (cleaning staff, chef, reception and spa staff all lovely)!”
