”It is an old hotel with lots of charm (on the outside). The lobby falls a little flat and could use a little more character and tbh... it smelled unpleasant! The room was very nice and looked as expected as shown in the photos. The king bed was very nice and comfortable, however the pillows were not - they went flat as soon as you laid your head on them. I think an addition of a desk would go a long way. The walls are thin so I heard our very loud neighbors talking on the phone 11pm at night....

”The front desk had a person but I had to check in thru a kiosk with a serpate employee that I couldn’t understand. Then the AC worked for a few hours then stopped working. Room was 80 degrees the whole night. The Breakfest staff was extremely nice and accommodating”

”Clean and pretty large room, and the price is expensive but very reasonable for summer season in St. Helena, where most places are in the $600-800 range, and this one almost half. Liked that it wasn’t “corporate”. The grounds are kept pretty nice. Also liked that it was pet friendly… easy a nice places to walk your pup around the hotel too. Peaceful spot overall and literally next to some of the world’s best restaurants and vineyards.”

”THE HOTEL IS VERY NICE! I would have given it 5 stars if not for the bathroom fan. According to the staff member at the desk when we checked out, the hotel has a central system that runs on a timer to clear steam, etc. from the bathrooms. Unfortunately, none of us (3) DID NOT shower at the right time when that system was timed to run. On the last day of our 2 night stay while we were leaving the room with our luggage on a cart and no one was in the shower, the fan finally came on! ...
