Majatalot – Morbecque

”We arrived at Herbes Folles after a long day and a delay on the Eurotunnel. What a beautiful place located in the countryside. Our room was stunning and so comfortable, everything we needed. We were made to feel so welcome nothing was too much trouble, so kind and friendly. The breakfast was delicious….homemade products from the farm. We would not hesitate in returning to Herbes Folles. Thank you”

”Excellent, unique place. Very friendly, hospitable and accomodating host. Really nice continental breakfast of fresh produce. Overall experience was fantastic and the house is magnificent.”

”Stayed for 1 night, very clean and comfortable, Isabelle was very welcoming. Bought cold beer from her little shop. Breakfast next morning was beautiful and in stunning surroundings ”

”A remarkable place to stay. As a hotel it does have it's limitations- light and soundproofing are both quite poor. However the bed was very comfy, the WiFi was decent, the bathrooms were very clean and the shower was good. Decent continental breakfast. Very friendly staff. The main reason for staying here is to experience this historic building and the stories it has to tell. From that point of view it is amazing. So no it isn't the most luxurious place I've ever stayed but it might well be...

”Unique accommodation (quirky even) from access via lock boxes (great!) to the space itself, multilevel with a separate sitting area and bathroom. The bed was massive and incredibly comfortable, a fan was provided to keep the room cool (it was 32C outside) and the shower was hot and powerful. There was a large flatscreen TV with lots of channel choices too. Breakfast was provided on a tray outside the room. If you like a non-invasive experience, in an old, stylish, unique property, in the centre...

”This is a fantastic place to stay prior to an early morning channel crossing. The hotel really is lovely, as are the reception staff. The rooms are clean, modern and very comfortable, and the hotel parking at the rear is very convenient. We chose not to eat/drink at the hotel and instead walked into the town. It's a fair walk to the centre, but it's worth it as there are plenty of lively bars and large selection of restaurants. We had a great final night before coming home to the UK.”
