”The surrounding area to the property is gorgeous and has great potential for a nice place to get away; however, the lack of information prior to arriving was a bit of a let down. Firstly, there was no indication before arriving that the place we would be staying at was currently in the process of being remodeled. ”I absolutely loved this place! It was rustic and charming. The check-in was so easy, as was check-out. Communication from the owners was terrific. The location was quiet and it was nice to sit on the porch and listen to the creek. The outside of the cabins might need a little TLC. The bonus was the history of this place! People used to come from all over in the late 1800's and early 1900's to drink water from the spring, which was said to have healing properties. The hotel that used to be there...

” The location on top of the mountain provided spectacular views and cool mornings even in July. I would suggest putting a medium sized skillet in the house to use with the convection hot plate. The fridge may need checking also. It took most of three days to cool down. Overall this is a great rental which I think was an outstanding value. I would definately stay here again.”

”My family of 4 had a great stay! The house was clean and comfortable. Great WiFi and TV. Beautiful kitchen stocked. Bedroom ACs were plenty to keep cool in July heat. Great proximity to Boone. Beautiful view of the river. Amazing large deck with comfy seating. Kids floated a few times in tubes on river. Went caving, rafting, and hiking at grandfather mountain. Wonderful family time before we dropped our twins off at Camp Cheerio New River!”
