Right in the heart of downtown, enjoy walking access to all your neighbors including Pictured Rocks Pizza, The Dogpatch, Mainstreet Pizza, Falling Rock Café and Book Store, By George Brewery, and all the best gift shops. Perfect for up to 4 people with a queen bed in the master bedroom and a sofa sleeper in the living room, this well-stocked and recently updated unit features all the comforts of home including a propane grill & picnic tables in backyard (shared area with other guests), central air, kids Pack ‘n Play, and a well-stocked kitchen perfect for cooking any meal.

Free washers and dryers (2 each) makes quick work of laundry, and for EV drivers, a newly installed 40A Level 2 EV Charger ensures your car is topped off and ready for adventure!

***Note this unit has an Ecobee thermostat and we adjust it from an app as requested. The thermostat controls the entire building.

*** There is a doorbell camera mounted at the entryway of the building for security purposes.

This property is in a great location. We walked to restaurants, the tour boat terminal, and the city park along the water. The property description in the listing was inaccurate, however. It said "entire home" which was not the case. This was a single home structure that had been divided into 3 units, so it was a triplex. As a result, we regarded our unit as very small. 3-1/2 rooms. Bedroom had room enough only for the queen bed with 2 night stands, but no dresser drawers. So we kept our suitcases in the living room. It did have a closet. As is the case often with older construction, finding outlets for charging our electronic devices was a challenge, we charged ours in the kitchen.(Suggestion: bring an outlet strip ).Bathroom very small with no counter space. Kitchen was "adequate" as we used it only for breakfast and making picnic sandwiches for lunch. No dishwasher, but we did not need one. Main entrance door to 2 of the 3 units hard to open and close, I had to assist my wife when we came and went. Otherwise clean and functional lodging.

If you want an in-town experience- this is easy walking distance to many things. Small town. Not a busy street. Easy parking. Comfy bed, nicely stocked kitchen. We weren’t there during day as we were out on hikes and exploring. Good brewery and deli right across street.

Great location, area very walkable, good parking, safe, "loud" uncomfortable couch, unit smelled like garbage/sewer and cigarettes. Was asked to strip the bed, take out the trash, do all dirty dishes, and put all dirty towels in hamper. Next time I will stay at a hotel, on vacation I don't want to do the cleaning.

Great town and area, great location of house.i did not like people changing their cars all hours of the day and night outside of the kitchen window, there also seemed to be a musty smell at times. Overall we had a nice week.

Great location and property

Great location in the heart of Munising. It's one block off M-28 and at the edge of downtown Munising. The unit itself was nice, with one bedroom, one bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room with a pullout bed. The unit was very clean and nicely decorated. I would stay here again.

Autumn Colors Tour

Neat and tidy, the location was close to hiking trails, waterfalls, and the Pictured Rocks boat tour. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was a supermarket nearby, so we were happy to be able to make a few meals.

Quaint downtown Munising location

We enjoyed our stay at River Birch. The Pictured Rocks are is stunning! Everything's within walking distance and very convenient. The small yard was nice and fenced in the grill was great. The unit is just a specified with a nicely stocked kitchen. They had a toaster, blender, K-Cup coffee maker, spices and plenty of cookware. It's was a smaller than expected unit, my husband and I felt a bit cramped in the full-sized bed, small bedroom without much room for your luggage and the bathroom is tiny. It's unfortunate they don't have designated parking for the rental. Be prepared, the weekends get very busy there, with little privacy. Not getting check-in details until late the night before arrival felt very last minute. 24 hours ahead would be nicer. Overall we were happy there but we'd definitely choose something with more breathing space outside of the downtown area next time.

Perfect Location

This one bedroom apartment was just right for my husband and me. The location was perfect, downtown within walking distance to pretty much everything: Shopping, restaurants, brewery, winery, Pictured Rocks boat tours marina. The apartment was clean and had everything one could need in the way of towels, extra blankets, pots, and pans, dishes, etc. Would stay here again.
