  • Welcome to Barbie & Ken’s, a charming second-floor studio apartment located in the heart of downtown Munising. Perfectly situated just one block from the Pictured Rocks Boat Tours, you’ll be within walking distance of local restaurants, shops, coffee houses, and many of Munising’s most popular attractions.

    This comfortable studio apartment sleeps up to four guests and offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. The main living area features a king-size bed, cozy seating area, and Smart TV. A separate room includes a fold-out sofa with a full-size bed and its own Smart TV, providing additional sleeping and entertainment space. For guests needing to work remotely, a small office area offers a quiet place to catch up on emails or work projects. Please note that the office space serves as the passageway to the bathroom.

    The apartment also includes a fully equipped kitchen and a full bathroom with a shower, making it easy to enjoy extended stays. Access to the apartment requires climbing 16 stairs to the second level.

    Step outside and discover everything downtown Munising has to offer. The popular Falling Rock Café & Bookstore is just around the corner, serving freshly roasted coffee, gourmet teas, homemade meals, vegan and gluten-free options, and locally loved Jilbert’s Dairy Ice Cream. Other nearby favorites include Gallery Coffee Company, Down Wind Sports, and Art in the Alley.

    Whether you’re exploring Pictured Rocks, chasing waterfalls, hiking nearby trails, or simply enjoying the charm of downtown Munising, Barbie & Ken’s is the perfect home base for your Upper Peninsula adventure.

Great location and very clean

This property is in a good location. I stayed for the 4th of july celebrations and fireworks, visiting my daughter. I enjoyed my self and the stay, the space was more than i needed for one person. Very clean and well kept. Pillows and beding were good, i slept well

Quite apartment in the middle of town

Only downside is the stairs to get into the property. Also the floors are a bit unlevel, but the property is all updated and very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

This apartment is in great shape & located in the heart of Munising. It’s nice to be able to park the car after a long journey and walk to many bars & restaurants. The stairs to the deck & entrance were no problem for my wife & I. We enjoyed the deck during our stay as the MI climate can be very nice in summer months.

Modern and super clean

This place was just what we needed. Super clean and comfortable. Kitchen was perfect, with full-size appliances. Plenty of comfortable sitting areas in separate rooms from the bed. Nice little desk area too. You can walk to many of the restaurants, coffee shops, etc.

Such a beautiful area! Highly recommend a tour with Pictured Rocks Kayaking. Pros: Very clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed. Loved the full kitchen. Conveniently located within walking distance to marina and restaurants. Cons: Overlooked the Family Dollar parking lot and was a bit noisy in the area. Motion activated night light was disruptive to my sleep.

Nicely renovated upper studio. Deck stairs to balcony are a bit rough, so watch your hands. Street light from business parking a bit annoying when trying to sleep. Kitchen had all the basics available for use. Great place to use as a "home" base and advenure out around the middle of the penninsula. I would stay again!

Very Charming studio layout. Clean, Fresh, Friendly. Great location.Only had an issue with wifi @ 20% in unit. Would stay again, colors at 20%. But weather was 80 and water was calm.

The loft apartment was right downtown, across from the Pictured Rocks boat tour. Park your car and walk to everything! Apt has its own parking spot. Apartment was very clean, however it had a slight cigarette smell when we walked in. Floor slants to the right. One side of the bed was lopsided. In the middle of the night I noticed something flashing on the wall everytime I moved. I thought a camera was watching us. My husband said it was some kind of a nest smoke detector.
