”It's briefly mentioned that the hotel provides a shuttle service, and it worked out to be really useful. They had a regular schedule running between the izukyu-shimoda JR station and the shuttle. We got a room with a balcony with a "partial sea view", which turned out to be a fantastic view to the bay! The breakfast at the in-house french restaurant, The Pheonix, was moderate, but the dinner in the Japanese restaurant was really good. The pool was nice, and had great views to offer from the...

”食事も美味しくてたくさんあってデザート等の対応も助かりました。”

”コスパが良くてサービスも良かったです。 何より景観が良かった。今回雨天で残念でしたがゆっくり過ごすことが出来ました。”

”Excellent hotel on the beach. Very nice clean room. Staff are very helpful and kind. Would definitely come back.”

”Absolutely lovely. Felt like I was staying with family. Quick walk to the gorgeous beach, next to a beautiful shrine, and a short walk from a delicious Ramen place. Not to mention the Onsen!!! What a magical experience it was to enjoy the outdoors and soak. And last but not least the breakfast! Felt like my mom made me lunch for the day. Absolutely would recommend to anyone staying in the area.”

”The views are amazing, but the property is quite dated and if you look around the vents and ac you can see lots of dust and mold”

”What an incredible stay for us. First time to a ryokan (i.e., traditional Japanese inn w/ onsen). What an experience! Hotel is somewhat confusing to navigate, but that is part of the adventure. The public onsen was incredible (note: they swap the male and female sides, so pay ATTENTION!). The room we stayed in was "traditional" in that we had five futons atop tatami. Haven't selpt that well in a long time! The in-room onsen was a bit old school (basically a deep tub), but still oh so magical....

”I know my husband plans to write a longer review but until that happens, just know that this lovely little gem is exactly that. The staff went above and beyond to meet our every need. The villa was beautiful as was our outdoor onsen which I wish I could have taken with me. The real stand out for us was the staff, their kindness and the quality of the food. We were truly blown away and agreed that we had some of our finest meals here. On second thought I wish I could bring Chef home with me....

”I had a great nights sleep here. I would visit again.”

”Beautiful traditional property.”

”This hotel did not match the pictures. It has not been maintained and has some water issue causing an odd odor in the hotel. It smelled like mildew throughout. The carpet had holes and in the area leading to the dining room walls were open to the jungle behind the hotel. Staff was nice but we were charged extra upon arriving. More than 500 dollars for my son. This was not expected. I asked to leave in that case and they said they would still charge me the whole amount. Do not book this...

”Very nice small Hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed at the annex and had a nice room with a balcony and a lovely view.”
