House was immaculate, comfortable and spacious inside and out. Huge property with no close neighbours so let your hair down and party! Woolshed brewery down the road was fantastic too.

The property was amazing. We arrived on a chilly winters day to a warm house. Thanks for turning the heaters on. Kids loved the trampoline and private beach to the Murray River. Highly recommend the house.

Very well maintained and equipped for families - could have very easily stayed another few nights. Excellent all-weather home, with a quick walk to a sandy bank and to the Woolshed Brewery. The extended family were all very happy with the accommodation. Beautiful gardens all around.

Absolutely fantastic accommodation! Had everything we needed and more. Host put up a Christmas tree which was a special touch. Beautiful views and wonderful private beach on the river. Hosts were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend staying here!

Amazing Accommodation

Had such a lovely long weekend away here. Plenty of space both inside and out. Great outdoor entertaining area, amazing views and the private sand bar by the water was perfect.

Family Getaway

Had an awesome stay with extended family, loads of room, everything we needed. Beautiful house and amazing grounds. Hubby was in awe at how well maintained the lawns were. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing Location

We celebrated our family christmas at this property, and it was perfect. The house was large enough to accommodate us all comfortably and the grounds are immaculately kept. Being right on the river was great for keeping the kids entertained.

River Getaway

Lovely home & gardens. Beautifully maintained & in a quiet location. The property catered for all age groups from 1 - 64 yr olds. Short walk down to the river but most enjoyable through the gardens & grass walkway between the cliff. Lovely sandy beach for swimming or skiing. We will definitely be looking to return for another stay.

Expansive property with amazing views and river access. Lots of space for our family of 14 and a dog. The outdoor area with bar fridge is a win for the boys. Easy walk to Woolshed Brewery. Well equipped kitchen, even board games like poetry for neanderthals and wavelength available. We had a fun evening by the fire pit. Everyone enjoyed and agreed this is one of our best staycations.

We stayed for 2 nights in July. We enjoyed great sunny weather for the most part. The clouds gathered on the Saturday afternoon and I think we had about 10 minutes of rain, then the skies cleared again (The photo is from the Saturday afternoon).Riverland winters are usually 16-19 and mostly sunny. Crisp mornings with the river glassy and covered in fog. Clear skies at night are an expected treat, sitting around the fire watching the stars - if you don't know about the River Murray Dark Sky Reserve, search it up. Soooo many stars.The house was well equipped to handle our group of 10 our friends dog. Everything clean and tidy. Two massive fridges and a well stocked kitchen with induction cooktop, plus two BBQ's and an outdoor fridge cater for large groups. Massive lounge area and plenty of room for inflatable beds if you have a huge group. We asked if we could set up tents outside in case our boys wanted the outdoor experience, and we were told anywhere but on the grass. Good phone coverage and internet so you can stay connected (if you really need to). The beds were terrific with electric blankets. Late check out was granted. Communication was excellent.I want to live there and our friends are already planning the next trip!!

Great for a family stay

Booking: this part was problematic and took time. I requested the property and had to do it twice as the owner didn’t respond in time. Once done it was fairly straightforward. I did want to add a third room which took some back and forth again but we got there. Checking in: the lockbox was easy to find but I should have kept the details offline as I had some problems accessing Stayz at the property. The owner was there when we arrived and he was able to verbally let me know the code while I was looking for it. Stay: the house makes for a very comfortable place to be, it’s absolutely massive. The beds were all very comfortable and our rooms were all separate so we had our own privacy. We used the outdoor space a lot with its extremely large dining and lounge space, great to have the fans out there too as it was very warm on arrival. The large lounge room was great to retire to at night also. The house is on the older side but still in good shape. Location: this was probably the disappointing part for me as it’s a hike down to the water and you can’t see the water at all when you’re sitting in the outdoor space. The photos made it look like it was on the doorstep to the river but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Overall: great house, beautiful property and it’d be great for a family stay as it has everything you could possibly need. At $990 for two nights for 3 people it’s quite expensive and for that price it would have been nice to see some breakfast provisions and coffee pods or even just some bread, butter and packet spreads. The milk frother on the coffee machine didn’t work and the fan in the main room makes a loud clicking sound when it’s on. Overall it’s a lovely house and made it very easy to catch up with the family while we were there.

On the river

Nice property, isolated, beautiful gardens. India was easy to communicate with. When an unexpected issue which was out of her control occurred she made sure to address things rapidly. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area. Property large enough for a very large group.

Wonderful return visit

We (group of 5 women) first stayed at Templeton in 2018. Each year we go away for the weekend & it was wonderful to revisit Templeton. We look forward to our third visit in the years ahead. A-M, B, M, S & V
