”Hotel Desertica is one of the nicest hotels my wife and I have ever stayed in. The location is 10/10, the staff are so friendly and the rooms are unique and luxury. My wife was ill for a day and the staff prepared off-menu chicken soup to make her better and provided local medicinal tea, which really helped. We had to change hotels due to availability but was so unimpressed by the alternative that we returned and spent the rest of our trip at Hotel Desertica. 5* all round!!”

”We enjoyed our very short stay here. The host was very kind, the beds were comfy and the shower hot. A bit noisy but that is to be expected. Is lies a bit on the outskirts of the city center which we did not mind since we had an early pick up for our tour.”

”We didn't realize there were 2 properties under la casa de Don Tomas (check when booking!). We were dropped off at the original location based on the address we gave from Expedia but after speaking with reception at check-in were directed to their El Refugio location, which is the newer expansion and just a 3 minute walk from the original. The rooms were large and peaceful. Breakfast was included and excellent. Would stay here again!”

”Beautiful surroundings and facilities, conveniently located in a quiet street but not far from the main shops and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A lovely restaurant attached to the hotel. We would have welcomed a better early breakfast provision for guests leaving for early morning excursions.”

”Basic and simple rooms. Well maintained and cleaned everyday (they cleaned the floors, so dust not an issue). The included breakfast is very simple and staff will cook you eggs if you want. Staff great and friendly. We went on a tour and were going to miss breakfast; they dropped a snack breakfast on our door.”

”We would definitely stay here again! The staff of the hotel is super kind and helpful. The room was clean and quiet and wathever you need you can ask them any time and they will help you, the front desk staff is there 24 hours. We had a tour super early, we let them know with anticipation and they had a box lunch ready to go for us. They have a storage where we can leave our stuff after the check out hour, plus we can still use the bathrooms, showers, pool while we were picked up to go to the...

”Most saff were not very helpful or friendly. The room was rather dusty. The refrigerator in our room did not work. The bed was adequate but not very comfortable. The location was great however. ”

”Nice little oasis a little further out from the centre of the town. Breakfast spread was good and fresh. The cooked to order option is a nice touch. Perfect for those who has their own transport and would like a cosy little retreat after a long day of sightseeing.”

”Easy walk to main shopping area where you’ll find great cafe, restaurants, tourist shops & tour companies. No need to pre book your tours. Supermarket across the road which was very handy. Clean room with comfortable beds. Small pool. Staff are very friendly and the cook makes a delicious cake served with a simple but nice breakfast. ”
