”Decent place for few days. Specious and good location. Expedia has a wrong info on their web page, claiming the place has AC. There is no AC so the place was very hot during the heatwave days. They provided second fan so it helped a bit. Overall good stay but not in the hot summer months.”

+ very close to supermarkets and restaurant
+ comfortable bed and pillows
+ mini bar (empty), coffee machine and kettle in the room
+ good quality of breakfast (4 types of bread, meats, cheese, yoghurt, cereals, hard boiled eggs)
+ quiet neighbourhood
I have two small concerns:
- Sound isolation between rooms is not perfect, I could clearly hear the TV from the neighbour room.
- Mini bar is plugged to a normal socket, so it switches off when...
”Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt! Von außen sieht das Hotel unscheinbar aus, aber innen ein Traum. Top Ausstattung! Der große Kamin im Winter bestimmt herrlich, die Terrasse im Sommer ein Traum. Das Personal war von Anhieb super freundlich, professionell und sehr humorvoll. Das hatte meinen anstrengenden Tag aufgelockert. ”We are a big family and were welcomed with open arms. Hotel Balsthal is a charming, modern hotel with a rustic feel to it.
We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be back.
Staff is very welcoming to children and went above and beyond to accommodate our little ones.
It is surrounded by beautiful nature trails and old castles to visit.
I strongly recommend staying here!!!
