”While booking a place for a night close to the highway, I failed to notice there’s no reception. You’re supposed to send an ID copy in advance and get a key code. I noticed this only at the door and had to look for a number to call. The guy was helpful though and just recited the code on the phone.
The pros of this place are low price (€55 for a single bed) and location at the gate of a quaint little castle town. While there’s no restaurant, there is a decent pizzeria on the shore less than 1km...
”Newly remodeled hotel in an older building in downtown Frickenhausen. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean, and everything looks brand new. Comfortable beds and the A/C works great. Friendly and helpful English-speaking staff, excellent breakfast, and nice beer garden. Free parking is a three-minute walk. We've stayed there twice during the summer of 2025. Would I stay there again? Yes!”

”Mitten im kleinen Örtchen gelegen. Man kann direkt beim Hotel auf dem kostenfreien hoteleigenen Parkplatz parken. Die Zimmer waren gut eingerichtet und man hatte alles was man benötigt. Das Frühstück ist auch ok und man kann abends gut im Hotelrestaurant essen. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir würden es wieder buchen.”
