”Sowaka was amazing. Great location, beautiful hotel, incredible food, perfect staff! Do take the 5:45 am tour to Kiyomizu-dera with the incredibly knowledgeable hotel manager. A wonderful and unique experience without all the tourists around.”

”The Aoi Hotel is located centrally to great restaurants, shopping, local attractions, and beautiful views. I was pleasantly surprised to be far enough from the main hustle and bustle to have peace and quiet, but close enough to walk to enjoy Kyoto. The staff is helpful and friendly, just a chat away using their cool interactive pad accessible in the room. Our room had a washer/dryer and they provided detergent, which helped us get reset for our time in Kyoto. Did I mention it’s spacious! We had...

”Absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel was impeccably clean, and the experience exceeded all of our expectations. We were able to check in early, and the staff kindly stored our luggage after checkout, which was incredibly convenient. The complimentary breakfast and nightly ramen were such a lovely bonus. The hotel also has an onsite laundry room, spacious rooms, and large TVs. Everything was thoughtfully provided, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location is also fantastic,...

”Great spot! Pretty self service for the most part but a great spot right in Gion.”

”Wow!! What can I say about the Mimaru Kyoto Station. This was our fourth stay at this magnificent hotel. The check in/check out was as friendly as you can get. The room was the perfect size for 3 people, and all the ammenities that came with it, but beyond all that, it was the staff, lead by hotel manager Tengo, that really know how to make you feel special. I just want to thank all the staff we got to meet and chat too over the 3 days/nights. All staff were friendly, engaging, and showed...

”This was my first time staying in a Ryokan-style accommodation and it was better than expected. Big room japanese style with tatami floors and direct view to the Kyoto tower. They provide yakatas. Accesible to bus routes and the shinkansen station. Traditional breakfast served everyday in the most traditional way. Food was amazing. The public baths were nice after walking more than 25k steps every day. The hotel is really well located, with a luxurious feeling, excellent amenities and friendly...

”Absolutely amazing oasis in the heart of crowded Kiyomizu. Beautiful, tranquil, clean guest house with tons of space.”

”One of the best hotels in the world. And definitely the best I have ever stayed at in my life. The employees are so friendly and leave enough space for customers. The rooms are so comfortable that they made me have a great sleep. The price is worth it.”

”What an incredible gem of a property with the best staff of associates. Great location for temple and shrine visits. An easy taxi/uber ride to the downtown area to visit food market and other great areas The attention to all the details is next level!”

”Stayed at Hotel Granvia Kyoto for four nights and loved the location — it's right inside Kyoto Station, so catching trains and the Shinkansen couldn't be easier. The room was comfortable and quiet, check-in was smooth, and having the station's shops and restaurants right downstairs was a real plus. Would happily stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto.”
