The real charm of this island is No real traffic except for horse carts / only a few scooters and a MUST rental pushys @ $5 per day. The boys will hook you up their snorkelling/diving crew for reasonable rates, and GO PRIVATE instead of group.

”Meno house was my best hotel experience so far. Its only six rooms and only adults at the hotel. The food was fantastic and the staff was soo friendly. We could borrow bikes and snorkeling equipment for free and we saw big turtles just outside the beach. The rooms are wery clean and well planned. We wish we could stay for another week. ”

”Trawangan Dive on hyvä Midrange-hotelli Gili Trawanganin päärantakadulla. Ravintoloita, pubeja, sukellusmahdollisuuksia yms. on lähialueella riittävästi. Balilta/Lombokista tulevat laivat rantautuvat muutaman sadan metrin päässä hotellista joten sijainti on mainio. Hotellin vieressä on saaren moskeija, joten rukouskutsujen kuulemiselta ei voi välttyä (esim. 4.30 yöllä).”

- There can be power shortages which last, and they don't have generator or flash lights to get through the shortage.

”Had the loveliest holiday in Jali Resort, the staff are so, so welcoming and friendly that we didn’t want to leave. The Jali Kitchen has the BEST food on the island. The watermelon juice is so refreshing and the krusty Kreme for breakfast set me up well for the day ahead. It is located 15 mins walk from the port, it is on an off beaten road so if you have heavy luggage get a pony ride as we nearly destroyed our suitcases on the way.”

"The hotel is by the beach and it's beautiful BUT you can't really swim there without shoes because there is a lot of stones and coral. But I think the situation is the same on the whole island. The room is nice. It's good that you get water for free as much as you need. Peaceful area with some restaurants on walking distance. Nice pool area, but the pool could be more clean. Good WiFi.
