”This is perhaps the best hotel in the Hualien area, with a top-notch new facility and close proximity to the Taroko National Park which unfortunately was severely damaged by the earthquake on 4/3/2024. The menu and food quality in the restaurant was much to our liking and to our delight, reasonably priced for dinner. Beach was a short stroll away.”

”Wow!!! What a find. The owner, his wife and staff were so welcoming and made our trip so enjoyable. The grounds were calming, and the rooms big bright and comfy. The location is so close to Taroko National Park we were able to enjoy their fantastic breakfast, beat the crowds, get a full day of hiking and exploring the breathtaking park, and get back to the best shower I’ve ever had before heading to the Dongdamen night market. Best two nights of our entire 10 days on the island.”

”We had an amazing relaxing, calming stay at Sophia’s property. It was sparkling clean, well thought out and Sophia drove us to her favourite restaurants for lunch and dinner and picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. Couldn’t ask for better service! Plus breakfast was delicious, highly recommend staying with Sophia. We stayed a couple weeks after the earthquake and the property is very safe and has no damage.”

”The location is not far from the train station so that was great. The hotel itself is ok. I’ve noticed most hotels in Taiwan never seem to clean the windows so it looks dirty. Glass elevator looks dirty because the windows are so dirty. Same with the windows in the breakfast room which is too bad as there is a nice view. The beds were reasonable and the bathroom was a bit tired (toilet seat was very loose). Water pressure and temperature was excellent. The breakfast was just ok with only...

”We felt the warm hospitality from Marsu from the moment we step out of the Xincheng Station. Owner Horace was very kind to pick us up from the station and offered help with our luggage. Marsu was spacious, spotless and had a very sweet welcoming atmosphere. Horace was always super open about answering the many questions we have and really easy to talk to.
