”This property is very close to Kodai-ji, which was very convenient. Also, the host washed, dried, and folded our laundry (a family of 5) while we were out seeing the sites. This was incredibly helpful. Another highlight of our stay was the wonderful welcome tea and tasty breakfast provided during our stay. Although it was a bit more expensive than other options, these benefits were well worth the additional cost.”

We loved our bathroom that included a sauna and an oxidized bathtub. Super close to all the main sites and metros, we walked more than anything else. 10/10 would stay here again!”

”This is listed as a 3 star hotel. It is not. It is the most luxurious hotel we’ve stayed at, including 5 star properties. The room was amazing. The location was perfect. Although everyone in Japan seems extraordinarily nice, the staff here beat even that standard. There was not one second of our time at this property that wasn’t perfect. 10/10. ”

”This was a charming little place very close to the river, restaurants and shopping and just a short walk to the subway. Check-in was easy, staff was nice and the rooms were well-designed, cozy and clean. The price was very reasonable and we would definitely return. ”
”Great location, near bus and a few blocks from the subway. Room was spacious and updated. Love the shower! Limited front desk hours, but not an issue. Clean towels were readily available. ”

”We stayed twice at the Yura Hotel while travelling in Japan.
In our opinion there is nothing that compares with the level of hospitality, quality of service and the accommodation itself.
Upon arrival we were greeted with extremely friendly staff that went all the way to make sure we felt welcomed. From the registration onwards the entire stay was made as easy as possible. While the staff may not be fluent in English, their hospitality and effort makes up for the potential lack in vocabulary....

"We had a wonderful stay in Kyoto. The breakfast was excellent and a great way to start the day. Our room was one of the most basic options, but it was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. A big highlight was the laundry room, well equipped with multiple washing and drying machines. Washing cost 600 yen, and drying was priced by time, which was very convenient during our trip. Service was excellent and the staff was accommodating."
"The hotel is located nicely in the middle of a shopping area and not too far from 2 different subway lines. Only downside with the location is that a taxi cant really get right infront of the hotel but it's not a long walk (3 minutes) from the closest drop off location.
Checking in and out is easy and quick with the self service desks and there is staff to help if you require assistance.
Didnt have much interraction with the staff except for one at reception and the cleaning staff of the floor and all were very friendly.
Only downside (for me) was how hard the bed was but that's a preference thing.
With all that said unless the hotel prices itself out it will stay on my radar for when I come to Kyoto again (6 days is not enough!)."
