Shedrick was so helpful and easy to talk to about my concerns. This was my first time experiencing what I would call as a doorman/bell hop at a hotel. When escorted to my first room by Shedrick(that was by the elevator) I mentioned to Shedrick how my focus for my stay was to enjoy my birthday which includes getting some sleep..Shedrick immediately turned around and said I will be right back with a new room key. My new room was so peaceful.

I had a couple issues with this property. The biggest one being that they let the outdoor music in the courtyard by the pool play all night and all morning long. I had to call every night around 1 AM and ask them to turn off the music. I just don’t get it why they have it going 24 seven. The next thing was I extended my stay for one night, but they seem to not be able to figure out how to make that work. Even after spending a lot of time and getting the room for another night we were automatically checked out the next day and our keys didn’t work. Had to go through the whole process again just to gain access to our room. Plus Housekeeping did not make up the room. The last thing was every morning we would put out the do not disturb placard on the outside of the door. And every morning at around 7:30 in the morning the housekeeping crew would come and knock on the door. I would open up the door and show them the do not disturb placard, but They didn’t seem to consider it.

The room was nice and tidy, but the front of the house manager on New Year’s Eve went above and beyond with friendliness and helpfulness. It was very much appreciated.

Served its purpose
This was for my 50th Birthday. Loved the bottle of wine and chocolate given to me at check-in. Room was pretty far. But, that's fine. My friends just drove around to pick me up by the closest exit. Gym being in a different building is not desirable. I did not go one morning because it was still very dark at 6AM. And we had things to do. So I couldnt wait until 7AM when the sun started to come up to walk over there. Fans on the treadmills did not work which made running on them slightly uncomfortable. But. Since i was not in the room much, it pretty much swrved its purpose. Maybe next time I will make better use of the amenities.

I’ll start with the positive. Staff was friendly enough. Wasn’t hard to get more towels or hangars. The property is at best a mid-tier Courtyard they have re-branded. I have stayed in quite a few so very obvious that they slapped a new label on what looks like a motel. The first room they offered was next to the elevator and had everyone in courtyard looking at us through window. They were nice and gave us a second room and the sink was clogged with a small animals worth of hair. That took a few hours to resolve. The room itself is fine if traveling alone but extremely limited storage, shelves and closet. The closet door is also the bathroom door so I’ll let you imagine how getting ready to go out goes. The shower had a small shelf installed improperly so a bar of soap can’t stay flat nor a bottle of shampoo. Just a litany of little things that make the room subpar and feel like you are in the process of a divorce and you are being fastidious with your budget. They said the pool was heated but couldn’t have been 78. Good if you like a cold plunge. Dirty as well. Spend the extra 100 a night and go to Westin or Andaz.

Great stay. Perfect tier of hotel for our trip - nice hotel but not too far pretentious/ fancy. The room size is pretty small and the two bed room has double beds, not queens.
