”Starting from the front desk, the owner is the one who checked me in n he was very professional, friendly. The air freshner he uses in the lobby n halls smells so good! The rooms, all i can say OMG...my room was very clean, the decor is beautiful and, no chipped furniture, well stocked of towels. I will definitely come back here. If ur in the area come stay here, u'll be happy that u did.”

”We had the sweetest stay at Postcard Cabins near Starved Rock. The setting was peaceful and the views were beautiful — exactly the quiet reset we needed. We loved relaxing by the campfire and really appreciated all the thoughtful amenities: coffee, hot cocoa, oatmeal, water, and plenty of firewood. The bed was super comfortable and the whole cabin felt cozy and well cared for. It was a perfect getaway with my husband and we’re already planning to come back.”

”Warning, do not rent a room here. Stay away. This place is full of false advertising. They have an extra hidden fee that they don’t show online that they force you to pay when you rent a room here. Second of all they advertise that they have smoke free rooms, which they don’t. I booked a smoke free room and was given a smoking room. When I complained at the desk , the employee worker became super aggressive and started threatening me, and was yelling at me. This is the worst place I have ever...

”Every staff member we encountered was SO friendly! The young man and woman at the front desk, breakfast staff-the tall man and shot woman (she said the staff calls her “Shortie” were all lovely! So many times at hotels, the staff acts like the guests are a bother, but this staff all behaved as though they were happy to be there. So refreshing! The coffee-brewed to order 24/7 was wonderful. Room was clean and comfortable. No complaints! ”

But having a kitchenette meant we could make our breakfasts and snadwiches before going for hikes. We've already talked about staying again, but maybe a different cottage. ”
