Heaven on Earth
I can't imagine a more peaceful, relaxing place than this cabin by the lake. The kitchen had everything you would need, the fireplace was wonderful at night, the bed was very comfortable, and the hot tub was ohh so relaxing. If you're in this area and need a place to stay, you won't regret staying here.

Beautiful rustic cabin with modern amenities
This rental was amazing, from the charm of the rustic cabin to the scenery, it was truly beautiful. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back again. Such a great getaway from our hectic lives, so peaceful and like a step back in time. My only recommendation is to bring your own split firewood and kindling. We were only provided with whole logs at the rental so we had to take a trip into town and buy some split firewood on our own. Also, the fireplace, fireitt and charcoal grill should be emptied of their ashes more frequently because they were all full, however, nothing would keep us away from returning to this little slice of heaven

Secluded...but not alone
Pros: This place is absolutely beautiful! The cabin is gorgeous, the pond was awesome, the kitties were sweet. In it's entirety we truly loved the place and had a wonderful time together to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday! Cons: coffee pot didn't work, pepper shaker was empty, and we had a 1 partial roll of toilet paper for 2 adults to last from Friday-Sunday. It didn't. We searched for a spare roll but there was none. Thankfully, we found a box of tissues. All of which we could've overlooked. The biggest issue we had was they decided to mow all the grass on the property in the middle of our stay (like 2pm on Saturday). Nice, quiet, peaceful, relaxing day and then BAM..loud mower riding around the whole place. Thank God we had just taken our little dog inside and that I wasn't in inappropriate attire (considering I was only expecting my husband to see me all weekend). Then while cleaning up to leave, I always check under the bed in case something of ours falls down and gets under there and as soon as I lift the bedskirt we found someone else's dirty shirt and a pair of slippers. I assume from a previous guest. So considering all of this... whoever cleaned the place before us must have done it in a hurry (if at all). So there were definitely disappointments. I still think the place was beautiful but I'd recommend taking extra toilet paper and don't have the expectation of being alone like we did :(

I'm so glad these guests did enjoy their stay at the cabin! As to address their concerns....we did get a new coffee pot and as homeowners you never know when things are going to break but our main goal is to keep everything in working order! Please call & let us know if you have trouble with anything so we can make it right & correct! Also a heads up - toilet paper is kept in the chest at the foot of the bed. Also we strive ultimately to cut the grass when our guests are not here. But if it has been a rainy week we cut it when the weather cooperates. With having a lot of bookings it can make it tough sometimes & also with the weather. The grassy area around the cabin takes 10-15 min to cut. So the lawn guy is very professional and gets in and out of there as quickly as possible & does not try to bother you. It is a very relaxing, quite place to stay!

Rustic Retreat (well sort of)
What a beautiful log cabin. A large stone fireplace. Front porch with rockers. Yet, all the comforts of home including a hot tub. The location is off the beaten path providing me with peace and quiet for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation of soul.. I'm hoping I can get back there again.

Perfect Cozy Cabin Getaway!
This restored cabin has so much charm and character, and the location is perfection. Quiet and peaceful, the porch faces a pond and wooded area which was the perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee. The kitty companions who joined us on the porch were super sweet and friendly. (bring wet food, they love it) Hot tub was wonderful and my husband and I soaked our tensions away. Truly everything you could want is there, to get away and unplug for a few days. Our host Lisa, was super easy to get in touch with and replied really quickly to my inquiries. We will definetly be back. I highly recommend! Just a note, make sure you bring your own firewood for the fireplace.

Great place to spend a snow day!
This cozy cabin was a lovely place to stay. We got to enjoy a snowy day while we were there! We enjoyed the warmth of the hot tub and fireplace. Even the detail of shoveling a path from the cabin to our car was taken care of. We would definitely recommend visiting this cabin.

This property was exactly what we were looking for to have a quiet and cozy New Years' weekend. Everything was exactly as described, the cabin was beautiful and serene. The bed was SO comfortable and we really enjoyed just holing up, playing games, eating good food, and enjoying the hot tub!

My favorite weekend getaway
This was our third time staying here. My favorite part is the cat welcoming committee lol. I brought treats for them this time. I also love the hot tub. My husband enjoys the peace and quiet. I ordered the breakfast and it was delicious. Will definitely be back again!

Quaint cabin easy drive from Philly
This is an old style one room cabin on a huge property that is very accessible from Philadelphia. As many other reviews have stated, it is clean, cozy and has an indoor jacuzzi. Perfect for a couple wanting to get away from it all for a few days. What disappointed and surprised us was that for all the thoughtful amenities, the kitchen did not have a full size refrigerator. Instead, it has a college dorm half fridge with essentially no freezer. We were surprised by this as not a single review of over 400 mentioned this as an issue. So maybe it was just us, but that and a very small sink with no real counter space took this down from five stars to four, as it made cooking a challenge. Also, the cabin has a nice fireplace, but if you want to have a nice fire, bring your own wood or buy it on the side of the road! And as many other reviewers pointed out, be sure you like kittens and cats, because they live on the front porch! So, a very nice cabin that could use a few important upgrades.

So happy you enjoyed your stay! Thanks!😄 We actually have a full size frig on order & being delivered Jan. 11th. It will also have a freezer. 😊. The cabin is a small cabin and not much room for a large counter space but we have a full size table which gives extra room. Also about the kittens they are now old enough to leave the mother and we are hoping to rehome them in the next week or two. So if anyone staying would like to adopt one let me know.😁

The first impression was ‘wow!’ Look at that cute cabin by the pond! Inside was decorated beautifully for Christmas, very rustic style but comfortable and simple elegance. Loved the fireplace. We were greeted by a lovely calico cat. We would definitely return to this lovely cabin.

Rudy’s Vacation
This was a vacation trip for our dog, Rudy, who is a three-year-old long hair German Shepherd - a very gentle soul. He cannot go on many of our vacations because pets are not allowed. This cabin in the woods allowed one dog. My husband, Rudy and I all had a very relaxing time. The cabin was the kind of cabin my husband had always hoped to own. It was very simple and yet very comfortable. It had everything that we needed. The host had decorated it for Christmas, even with a small Christmas tree. That was a special treat. We had great places to walk/hike with Rudy. He liked the new adventure. We would definitely come back again and will recommend it to other couples for a little getaway!

Enjoyable and Relaxing
The property is aesthetically pleasing. Great view of the pond and tree line and neighboring property with there field and pond. The age and simplicity of the cabin made it very easy to relax. We enjoyed the fire place and the hot tub and slept very comfortably in the king size bed. We enjoyed reading and I caught a lot of fish . It was very fun. The guest book exalted the Lord Jesus Christ which we were grateful for with scripture verses that were very fitting for the beautiful setting they we were in.

What a perfect little getaway to enjoy a relaxing time celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary away the hectic everday norm. Cozy and romantic. Cabin stocked nicely and any shopping needs very close by so next time no need to overpack as we did. Our host, Lisa was great and very responsive. Looking forward to our next stay.

Know before you go...cats live under the porch
I really hate to say anything negative about this property, but trying to be helpful. So, the oven was broken. Now seeing a review from this year that says it was broken for someone else's stay. There is a microwave if you get there and the oven is broken. But, the big things is the cats and dog. If you love cats, this is your place. They hang on the porch and will walk into the cabin if you aren't careful. Followed us around meowing when tried to take a walk at dusk. Then an older dog showed up in the a.m. and he fought with one of the cats. So again, if down with pets, you got it here. If you have cat allergies, better come prepared.

Sorry for the issue with the oven. It has been repaired and is in working order again!🙂 There are 2 kitties that visit and hang around the cabin because so many guests love them and bring kitty food & give them so much attention.😁 As for the dog, he must have been a wandering stray.😂

This cabin was better than expected. The pictures and reviews truly capture all the details. A wonderful blend of old and new. We went there searching for peace and tranquility and left totally recharged. We will definitely be back and extend our week out a few more nights. Relaxing stay
This was our 2nd time at the cabin for my husband's birthday(we missed out on last year bc it was already booked 😢). It is just so cozy and relaxing. My husband is originally from WV, I was raised at the Jersey Shore, where we live now. He likes to get away from the hustle and bustle of the summer shore life. This is the perfect place to do it. The cabin is back down a dirt road away from it all but close enough to town to grab some things you may need or grab a bite to eat. I enjoyed my mornings on the porch, drinking my coffee with the 2 kitties that hang around the cabin. It has great antiquish decor with a touch of modernism. The bed and linens were super comfy and the hot tub was a nice modern touch. If you are looking to get away from your hectic life for a little while, this is the perfect place to do it.

With better amenities and maintenance the overall would easily be a 4. The door can’t be latched and dead bolted at the same time. The oven door came apart when opened, husband is savvy with fixing things, put it back together. The fan timer in the bathroom is broken, you have to force turn it backwards. The appearance of the cabin is rustic and wonderful, the folding chairs at the kitchen table distract from that. A propane grill would be nice, had to clean out the charcoal grill before using. Loved the porch, loved the view. Fishing and boating was fun, a pier on the pond would be amazing. Enjoyed the wildlife. We had a fun, relaxing time!

We found our happy place!!!! The pictures do not do justice. The cabin is amazing! Our host Lisa was wonderful and so accommodating. The welcoming committee (Cats) which we so lovingly named "Ozzie and Harriet" were an added treat. We will be starting a new tradition and going back every year for our anniversary.

Amazing cabin, excellent property
We stayed in July 2023 - just my boyfriend, me and our dog. The cabin is totally amazing!! The craftsmanship that went into restoring it is very evident. They didn’t miss a thing. The way the new blends seamlessly with the old is very nicely done. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice. The outdoor fire pit area was great at night for roasting marshmallows and watching the fireflies. If I had one suggestion (and this is really nothing), it would be to have a larger fridge and kitchen sink. But again, the place was amazing so just a suggestion :) The 2 kitties that live there are very friendly and sweet although my dog disagrees lol! The owner was great and very responsive. Bring cat food and charcoal for the grill. We will be back!

Keeping it real
Got to cabin flushed toilet it overflowed. Was told property manager was busy and keep plunging. After 40 minutes and several texts/ calls we decided to find a hotel. Packed everything back up in torrential rain. Not a great start . They did have someone come out the next day and fix septic problems. The experience could of been handled better for customer. Cat and kittens cute yet a challenge when traveling with a dog. Lighting inside cabin could be better. We wore headlamps when cooking and reading. Previous guests left burned logs in fireplace we had to clean out because it smelled bad. Try it is a Peaceful private location.

Sorry for the problem with the toilet! It was not clogged for the cleaners. So not sure how it got clogged. We called someone right away to come out and check it out. Not sure how that could have been handled better or faster. These situations come up with any property.. We try our best to keep things in perfect working order & strive to make your stay relaxing! 😄 Just a note - the toilet has been fixed.
