When we checked in, we were not given the room we booked through Expedia. We had booked a queen room in the main house, but were given a loft room in the back of the house. The desk staff said there was nothing that could be done because we booked through Expedia. Totally disappointed because we went way out of our way to travel and experience the antebellum mansion. We left the next day early and the breakfast did not start until 8 pm so we did not even get to partake in that. So disappointing. We could have done a tour and stayed in a Hampton Inn. Really disappointed in the lack of response from the hotel. Grounds are beautiful and restraurant was great for dinner.

Loved the grounds and the pub bar and restaurant. Didn’t like the slow response when our toilet broke and no one came to fix it, so finally we had to ask for a plunger and fix it ourselves. Then the beautiful claw foot tub I was so looking forward to taking a bubble bath in only worked on hot water and it was scalding hot. The other complaint is no housekeeping service while we were out all day.

The Dunleith Inn was very familiar to me as I grew up coming to my Grandmothers house just down the street every summer. It is furnished with high quality finishes but needs more light in the rooms and more staff direction for the property at check-in re: access to all areas and any events scheduled during the stay.

We made our reservations through Expedia for this property to experience the Natchez pilgrimage. It was a mistake. Check in was at 3 on March 17th, the room was not ready and by 6:00 with our second visit to the front desk they Sent a maid to finish the room and the maid was not happy about her work. There were no face towels in the room but the room was acceptable. The grounds were a total wreak, there had been wedding the day before. There was trash everywhere, beer bottles, liquor bottles, and all kinds of trash. Minimal effort was given to the cleanup but much of it was still there when we checked out on the 19th. The breakfast that was advertised was awful. It was basically packaged waffles and sausage biscuits in a package for the microwave. On top of that the coffee machine was broken in the breakfast area. This morning we went down at 8:30 am and there was no one at the front desk to handle checkout. It took 30 minutes to find someone. Overall I believe we would have had better service at a motel 6. Understaffed, bad attitude, worse service!!! Not worth the price we paid to stay…

My stay was very bad. Check in: They made a 72 year old woman carry 6 bags up an uncovered stair in the pouring rain to Third floor room. The room had not been serviced so they told me to carry it all back down to my car, move to another building and up another set of stairs. Rain still pouring. New room smelled of pesticide refrigerator didn’t work no ice no bottled water. I was alone in this remote building. Toilet ran all night. The bed was comfortable to be fair. Only bright spot was the man at the bar who gave me two glasses of water and a baggie of ice to carry back so that I could brush my teeth. My son’s wedding was at Dunleith 20 years ago. It is very sad to see how it has deteriorated.

This is a neat place. Bear in mind, it's a property that dates from the 1800's, so don't expect all the latest technology and conveniences. If you are like me, a workout center and a pool are not things I use anyway, so the lack of such wasn't a big deal for me. The vibe was fantastic in my mind, and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Really nice courtyard and grounds, and the room was comfortable. The guys at the desk for check-in and check-out were really cool. I'd stay there again.

This hotel met all our needs. We had an upper loft for the third adult in our party. The restaurant food was good, if a bit high priced. We enjoyed a tour of the main house. If we are in the area, we would return to this hotel.

Enjoyed stay at Dunleith
Stay was good. On the safety side, the tub was a high step over and no mat to prevent slipping. Continental breakfast was Ok. Nothing to Bragg about.

We only spent one night, but it was very clean and the Christmas decorations on the main house was beautiful. Also loved the lights on the trees.

Great get away
We loved Dunleith it was beautiful and the people were friendly. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Just wish they offered a hot breakfast.

We stayed for 3 nights and had the upstairs of the house all to ourselves, including the glorious balcony. The home was still decorated for Halloween. The crown jewel of Dunleith is the Castle restaurant on property, serving cocktails and dinner after 4 p.m. Be sure to keep your key close by! They do lock up at night!

Beautiful property and quiet space. Room was great and staff was super friendly. We were in town for a wedding and stayed in a loft with another couple. It was perfect with two king beds in separate spaces each with there own bathroom. We spent time at the Pub and enjoyed time out by the pool. Would definitely stay again.

The grounds of the property are very pretty and well kept. The room was clean and comfortable. They have excellent water pressure. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back and recommend to others

I cannot tell you enough how pleased I was with my stay! I didn't want to leave. Staying at Dunleith was just magical. Everything about it felt like home. I was on a business trip so I didnt get to explore as much as i want, but I will absolutely be back, and next time I'll bring the hubby and let him experience it with me. Thank you sooo much for everything!

Lovely Southern Gem
So we came for a getaway and the balloon festival. Checked in late Thursday and checked out in Sunday. Booking through Hotels.com was cheaper. Room was a courtyard room on third floor. Was very dark and needed a good dusting. Not horrible by any means. Linens and towels were all very clean. Beware: Tub was VERY slippery and I actually fell. Husband almost fell twice. Worst part of the trip was the neighboring room (and the fall)! Loud and obnoxious. Unfortunately, old house equals thin walls. No one wants to hear 6am puking! Had to run coffee pot a few times as it had not been cleaned in all existence I think. Breakfast was not as bad as some reviews say. It was set with a really cool espresso machine, juice, muffins, yogurt, bagels, breakfast sandwiches....very continental style. Main House Tour came with the stay, you just have to ask. The guide was ok just seemed very rushed. Grounds are beautiful. Restaurant was delicious. The staff exceptional and very hospitable.

The gentlemen who checked us in was very courteous and helpful. We had a minor issue with the safe, he was prompt and resolved the issue. We were on property for three mornings to have breakfast. After the first morning nothing was restocked which left very little to choose from. Pop tarts, children’s cereals are not an adult breakfast choice. The clerk offered to check the pub to see what was available. She stated the truck didn’t arrive to restock. We feel items could have been purchased at the grocery store to meet the demand until the truck arrived.

Nice property; bad breakfast.
We really enjoyed the property and room and had a wonderful dinner at the Castle, but they should not call themselves a B&B since breakfast is small cereal boxes and granola bars (more like Motel 6).

Beautiful place. Room was nice. However, there was a good bit of old food left in the fridge from a previous guest. The breakfast was a complete joke. Should not advertise breakfast as an amenity. Individual cereal boxes and bad coffee and it did not open on time. Got better breakfast at the gas station around the corner. Very disappointing.
