”Seven of us age range 6-75 stayed at Gardners Cottage during New Year week. On arrival welcomed by the warmth of the property in the afternoon of the last day of the year. And welcomed even more by the Christmas tree beautifully lit in the dining room.Other lovely festive decorations( including mistletoe ) were still there in the hallway and lounge.The lounge very comfortable but may have benefitted by another light in the winter afternoon and evenings. ”Don’t stay here. RUN the other way! While the place was mostly clean, there were other problems that made it a horrible stay. We left after one night, even though we had pre-paid our 2 night stay! There were no supplies. One bathroom was almost out of toilet paper, and there was NO more to be found anywhere! In addition the downstairs bathroom had NO light, and there were no extra lightbulbs for us to even try to fix it. That toilet did not flush properly either. With 4 adults and 1 child...

The conversion had been made thoughtfully with the bedrooms leading off a corridor separating them from the open plan living area. ”Everything we needed was provided. We did bump our heads a couple of times on the low door frames and had to take care upstairs, because of the different levels of steps. We purchased a weekly parking permit to park in the public parking area by the rec center. When we needed to load/unload it was challenging at times to navigate the car down the narrow street, especially with some parked cars sticking further out. Overall though a lovely cottage.”
