”The staff was unwilling to let me cancel my reservation the day of my reservation because I had a funeral come up. I hadn’t checked I yet. They refused to work with me or help even given the circumstances. They charged me for the full 2 nights. They wouldn’t even give me a cancellation fee. I found them rude and uncaring.”

”Dirty property, unfriendly staff. Hot tub didn't work. Toilets were clogged. Dirty bandaids left in the pool area for over 24 hours. Beds were not comfortable. Broken furniture. Breakfast was poor. Checked out early to how poor this property was managed.”

”The light above the sink didn't work. But it was clean and comfortable.”

”Nichole was so helpful. We were arriving after 7:30pm and she suggested the J Huston Tavern in Arrow Rock for dinner. She also made our check in after hours easy. This Hotel is lovely and the gardens were beautiful. We loved this historic hotel and the Railroad History. We slept in a comfortable post bed. It was more than a hotel it was also a museum for us. Recommend, recommend and recommend.”

”The property was convenient to get to and the room was nice. I was not thrilled with the pillows which were too soft for my liking. The staff at check-in seemed a little rushed and I had to ask her to repeat herself, but other staff were very friendly and helpful. The one downside for me was the room overlooked the pool and if you wanted a quiet room this is definitely not a good location.”

”Room 220 has a very slow sink. There were stains on my side of the bed and the walls had stains with a few pieces missing but it was acceptable for the price and location. There are a lot of contractors who utilize this hotel which is a great location and price for them as well.”

”We stayed one night on Frederick. The Hotel was marvelous and we enjoyed a lot of it. Such a charm, something else compared highwayside hotels/motels”

”My husband and I were visiting for Mizzou’s Summer Welcome with our daughter. We have stayed at this property several times in the past and felt like it was always a great value. This time it was cheap (what we needed) but the property is in really bad shape. If you get room 235, ask for another. Carpet felt moist and the bathroom was old/mildewed/moldy, room’s windows looked directly into the back of the huge air conditioning units, so no view whatsoever. The wallpaper was literally coming off...

”The hotel was under staffed rooms were old and creepy TV remote broken lights had no plug on them just bare wires. Swimming pool had maybe a foot of water in it”

”Trickle shower, No pressure, dirty shower floor, Water ran right out on the bathroom floor because of no lip on the shower. Bed was about 2 foot high. Couldn't hardly crawl out of bed Never go back”

”The Terrible rating is really on using Expedia. Expedia is a big hassle to use them when things change unexpectedly. Very difficult to talk to anyone about a change. The savings is not worth the headaches. Yes i could have bought the insurance, but then it eats into the savings, so why use them?. I will never use Expedia again! i would rather pay full price for a hotel with the knowledge of I can simply call the hotel and rearrange things easily.”
