I have stayed at this Marriot before a couple years back and within that time I feel some disrepair has fallen on the property. The landscaping, cleanliness, as well as staff has always been more than adequate.
However I found the condition of the parking lot and the main entrance are in dire need of repairing. If you drove any quicker than a crawl, you would cause damage to your vehicle. There are tons of potholes right at the end, that weren’t there 2 years ago, and they are brutal. The speed of the elevators I also did notice have slowed down. There were a handful of times where several guests were waiting for a matter of minutes in the lobby in anticipation for their arrival.
I usually prefer Marriotts when I’m traveling and having family in that area of CT, I would like to return in the future. I would imagine the conditions will be improved by the next time I make accommodations. Still a great place, convenient location and very friendly, accommodating staff, would definitely recommend!
