The Space:
Our spacious, newly-renovated cabin has all the comforts of home, nestled away in the mountains of Shenandoah. Steller's Jay is fun for couples, families, or groups of friends and is the perfect home base for your getaway!

The cabin includes:
- Two renovated bedrooms – one with a queen bed, the other with a queen/twin bunk bed
- Fully-stocked open kitchen with a stove/oven and microwave
- Open main room with plenty of natural light
- Smart TV where you can quickly sign-in to your favorite streaming service
- Wood-burning fireplace to keep you cozy at night (we also have electric heat and AC too!)
- Fast, reliable WiFi that’s more than enough to stream movies and hold video calls

Outside you’ll find:
- Fire pit with seating for the whole gang
- Large deck & propane grill
- Outdoor yard game treasure box full of activities for kids and adults: corn hole, volleyball, soccer and kick balls, horseshoes, and many more!

We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).

In the area:
- Visit Shenandoah Valley National Park, Endless caverns, a Rebels baseball game or golf
- Feeling adventurous? Check out Skydive Shenandoah or go skiing at Bryce Resort
- Like wine & beer? Enjoy Third Hill Winery or Hawksbill Brewing Co, less than 20 mins away

Beyond the cabin itself, the Shenandoah area is great for so many reasons -- and Steller's Jay is just a short drive to everything. Whether you’re a history buff, music enthusiast or looking to entertain the kids, this area offers some of the best festivals throughout the year. While you’re here don’t forget to stop by and visit our hometown restaurants, coffee and custard shops and cafes. You’ll be sure to find something your whole group will enjoy!

Listing agent came by

Check in was great but as we look around outside we find that a lot of the small gravel and the border has been washed away and weeds were grown up. The inside was clean and nice but the master bedroom had a hole completely looking out the house (thinking it was where the heater was once at) we had to plug it up as it was letting bugs in at night. The biggest issue we had was there was a listing agent with potential buyers that were trying to look at the house during our stay!!! Big miscommunication and very disrespectful!!! The hole in wall and listing agent coming by was brought up to the property manager.

Nice property needs some tlc

The stellar jay is a very nice property, has some nice qualities. The quietness is absolutely fantastic. The ride up the mountain was pretty cool as well. Place was generally clean. It is great for a weekend getaway! I think the property could use some tlc. The path/walkways are unkept. The inside needs some repairs. Bats are living in the chimney (i get the house is on the side of a mountain). Despite those issues, i would stay again. The communication with Tony was great.

The property is not designed for senior adults. Both beds were against the walls and couldn’t be moved. Couldn’t enjoy outdoors due to mosquitoes and ticks, also no Keurig, I brought my own. Tv had no local channels, but otherwise was fine

Our stay was very enjoyable, the host was extremely responsive and helpful. The cabin itself is in a gorgeous location, when they say secluded they meant it! WiFi and internet service were very reliable, there were a couple great places to eat in the tiny town nearby (check out The Italian Job, you won’t regret it!) and Walmart was about 20 minutes away for the essentials. There wasn’t much in the way of festive offerings- we went in mid December - but the town was cute. Keep in mind some of the nearby touristy places close for the winter if that’s when you’re there and plan accordingly. We had a great time overall.

Family Trip

We arrived to the property which was beautiful. I did request early check in and was told they “have to make sure our cleaners are given enough time to disinfect and set things up for your stay. What we can do is send you a text as soon as they're done and you may check in anytime after.” Once we received that txt (an hour before normal check in) we arrived and we very disappointed when we got inside. There was no way they had a cleaning team there. I provided pictures of a dirty sink, floor, chairs and flies everywhere. I was told “we will discuss it with our cleaners”. Then we went to turn the heat on and it did not work. We had a 1 month old and 2 year old with us, so we needed heat. I was told “we have reached out to our handyman”. No handyman ever showed up and thankfully my husband knew how to get one heater working so we didn’t have to leave. We were very disappointed because the reviews were so great but it was not a stay we enjoyed unfortunately. If you are with friends or just your spouse it would be a good fit because adults can deal with the dirtiness and no heat but would not recommend bringing kids.
