Perfect for a getaway to the New Paltz area. The host thought of EVERYTHING we could have possibly wanted over the few days we were there. The home itself is so perfectly decorated, clean, cozy, and comforting to come back to after a day of hiking in the snow. (Plenty of hot cocoa and tea in supply to warm us up). And the views are beautiful. We sincerely hope to book again when it’s warm out so that we can enjoy the deck and fire pit.

The location of this home is perfect, between the town of New Paltz and Lake Minnewaska. It is a short bike ride from the Wallkill Valley Trail. The view is amazing. For nature lovers, there were several deer walking the property every day. Firepit was great! Need to purchase your own wood unless you are lucky to have the previous person leave some. Most important, the home was extremely comfortable, clean, updated, stocked with mostly everything you need. Even had coffee, creamer, tea and snacks just to mention a few. Definitely will go back.

Adorable, good size cottage on a beautiful property. It had an enjoyable view of the mountains. We enjoyed morning coffee on the outside decks and seating areas every morning and relaxed on the deck at the end of the deck as well. The Hammock was well used. In a perfect spot for relaxation and shade. The bedding was top notch. We have stayed in many hotels around the World and by far the bedding was A, would love to know where the owner purchased. We saw deer in the yard. It was very relaxing. Weren't able to enjoy the fire pit, no real access to starters and wood, or lighter. Also, not sure why, but the refrigerator was over 1/2 full. The items were already open and not something that was appealing to use. We enjoyed the availability of the backgammon set.

The Mountain View escape is absolute perfection! Aster responds quickly to any questions, making the booking and initial convos delightful.The house is easy to find, immaculate, and thoughtfully appointed. All of the small things that make a vacation property feel like home are within: pillows, ottoman, placemats, coasters, tissues, plentiful towels, cooking supplies, stocked pantry, clean grill, luxurious bedding, and wonderful shower supplies. The bathroom and bedroom are generously proportioned, so though the overall house is small, the rooms where you spend the most time feel large and spacious.There are three different outdoor seating areas. Two chairs outside the bedroom provided shade and a perfect spot for breakfast and coffee. The high seating by the umbrella were perfect for lunch and afternoon drinks with a view, and the fire pit area perfect for reading, talking, and relaxation. Did I mention this house also makes you feel like a cartoon princess? We had daily visitors, including several does, a fawn, rabbits, chipmunks, and the usual birds. It's a great place to sit outside and watch nature. Incredibly relaxing!The WiFi was great, there's a bluetooth speaker for music, plentiful entertainment options, including chess, checkers, backgammon, and puzzles. It's maybe a 25-minute drive to Lake Minnewaska and Mohonk Preserve (we may not have taken the most direct route, so check for yourselves!) and close to the Rail Trail for a paved walk.We'll be back!

Exceptional Retreat

Mountain View Escape was one of the best VRBO vacation homes we've stayed in. The cabin was very well appointed with everything you could need including snacks, plenty of linen, and laundry supplies. The location was perfect for us and the property was beautiful with views of the Gunks. Quiet locations and the owners are local and communication with then was easy.

The inside and outside of this property is so beautiful. They thought of everything you might need. The quality of everything was also so nice, which made you feel like you were at home. A truly extraordinary place

Mountain View Escape is beautifully furnished and impeccably maintained. The bedroom is like a luxury hotel room with a super-sized king bed and luxurious linens. The grounds are spacious and delighted my young dog. I loved the quiet, low key neighborhood, which is conveniently close to Gardiner and New Paltz. I could not recommend the place more highly.
