Get Settled in at the Settlers Roost

Settler's Roost features a full kitchen and 2-person dining area. The bathroom has a shower-tub combo, with a gas fireplace in the living room. Just off the porch, you will find a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and star gazing, as well as a brick charcoal grill to make those amazing steaks we know you've been itching to make! Also Inside enjoy our wi-fi and smart Roku Tv with steaming capabilities.

Its was ok plane cabin there was no soap for washing dishes there were no potholders. No shampoo or body wash like was promised.hottub was old didn't really stay hot.when we got there the heat was on it was 95 degrees in there..we left day early my other half fell in ice in front of door no ice melt anywhere. Fire place was out ordere it was peaceful quite area.

This is not the right fit if you seek a cozy cabin. This cabin is for people who want to spend the time outdoors exploring. Of my decade of cabin stays, this was by far the least accommodating and comfortable. I want to say that you get what you pay for, given that this cabin is less expensive than other nearby businesses. However, this cabin is overpriced, especially if you book through Vrbo. The most fair price comes from their website.A few inexpensive changes could elevate the experience: having more than one blanket, offering additional towels without a fee, communicating that the fireplace is inoperable before the booking, supplying a couch in better condition, fixing the leak from the shower into the bedroom Urgently needed changes: The floors are unacceptable. I could smell urine in the restroom and the bottom of my socks were dark gray after a few minutes of walking around the cabin. The coffee pot was also dirty upon our arrival, indicating that this business does not prioritize cleanliness.What was good: The WiFi signal was consistent and strong. The location offers proximity to restaurants and trails while being relatively remote. The kitchen contained utensils, coffee filters, and a spacious fridge.Other notes for future guests: The shower is extremely slight, even for a small person. There is not a designated outdoor container to dispose of pet waste. The fireplace will likely be inoperable for a long time, as it’s due to the supply chain.

My husband and I stayed here for an anniversary trip. We had a great time exploring the area! The cabin is off the beaten path but as long as you are okay with gravel roads this is a great place for a private and quiet getaway. The hot tub was very nice after exploring and hiking. The floors and loveseat could use a little TLC but overall, we still had a great stay!

The propert is absolutley beautiful ! The cabin is gorgeous! The bed was wonderful. So peacedul and quiet. Would reccomed this to everyone and would definetly come back. This was a birthday gift fot me by my partner and loved wvery minute of it. Andrea and Mike.

Lovely, well maintained cabin. Comes with everything you need. Hot tub was hot but the jets didnt blow very well. Only negative is that the bedroom needs a ceiling fan to keep the air moving in there, and a tv so you can watch some while laying down as the couch is extremely small and uncomfortable. Other than that it was quiet and peacefull around the cabin. Watching and listening to the wildlife in the early am or at night while rocking in the chairs on the back deck was amazing. Very secluded. Perfect area to see the sky full of stars at night. You dont get that in the city. The surrounding neighborhood is definitely a site for sore eyes , very run down, so as you drive in for the first time you ask yourself " ummm what did we book?!?!" Lol but once you find your way to your cabin its worth it. Britney (host) has put alot of care into running this place and it shows. We will be back.

The cabin itself was nice and it was secluded. It was almost too far from things to do though, average of 20 miles. The only drawbacks were that there was almost no toilet paper, there was no spatula, no oven pan, no paper towels, no coffee filters and the soap bars were so tiny you could barely take a shower with them. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

Quiet Getaway

Overall great property. Messages to owner were unanswered except for door code. Check-in could be earlier than 4pm, we arrived half hour early and sat in car waiting to unlock door at 4. Check-out could be later, like noon, as 10am is a bit early for the nightly rate. Everything else was great - comfy bed, porch double glider, hot tub, kitchen & bathoom nice. Very cozy for 2. Overall rating 9/10.

Hello! The Settlers Roost property was beautiful and private. Just a few things we noticed while there. The light above kitchen sink is very dim. No head rests in the hot tub. The couch is loose and needs tightened or looked at. If you are standing behind it, it is the left side. When taking the sheets off the bed this am there are 2 stains in the mattress.

Peaceful cabin, nice hot tub.

Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. We used the hot tub very night. I liked the bed but my husband had some soreness in his back. Saw some deer and baby fawns. Saw a wolf sneak on by the back porch.

Hocking Hills Cabin

Nice cabin. Remote location about 20 to 30 minutes from Hocking Hills State Park Visitor Center. Perfect one bedroom cabin. Things to suggest would be to redo the wood floors or put down laminate flooring and supply updated outside grill. Picnic table would also be nice.

Was nice, we were sick. Not having any coffee, tea, or a Keurig in this day and age is unacceptable. Then zero alternatives…wow. This price range definitely should include a welcome basket. It’s not like you’re serving a continental breakfast. Be aware of your audience that you’re aiming to entertain. Contact me for any further questions.
