Asunnot – Newcastle Island

”This property had all you need for an overnight stay. It was not near a beach though and the property next door was logged leaving large old growth fir trees and stumps when looking out the window. Not a great view and you will need a car to get around. Never saw the owner but her dogs were outside so we couldn't put our dogs out as fencing is not adequate. For the price which is low for the island it was all you can ask for.”

”Beds could both use a mattress upgrade. Our 30 some old backs didn’t sleep well. We ended up having to go buy mattress toppers. Kitchen is missing a cutting board . Hoped there was a BBQ as there is outdoor space.”

”We had a very nice stay. The property is clean and quiet and check-in/check-out instructions were clear and easy to follow. Street parking was easy and made the unit easy to access. There is access to off street parking but it is way more convenient to park on the street as it is direct access to the unit entry. One draw back is there is no AC and no ceiling fans in the unit so you have to open a window for airflow. It was not a huge deal as our weekend was a bit chilly for July. Everything is...

”This was a very well-equipped place- great kitchen, bedding and beds very comfortable. The little touches were well thought out. I appreciated the yoga mat and beach towels and the cute little owl decor! The hosts were excellent, communicated quickly, even providing me with a battery-operated light when the neighborhood power went out during a windstorm! Lovely, quiet location. Will definitely be back!”

”Awesome place!! Not totally private but splitting the access to the hot tub with the other unit was no problem. Owner was friendly, flexible and responsive. Peaceful neighbourhood for walks. Thank you for a wonderful stay! My doodles also give this place 2 paws up! 🐾🐾”

”No serving bowls. No extra linens (blankets). Bulb was flickering but I couldn’t find extra bulbs. One kitchen chair was not sturdy. No facecloths. Vents and ceiling fan were black (even black going up wall. It was a beautifulPlace and a great location. With a little TLC this would be a great place. No trouble to get ahold of owner. Not convenient for wheelchair as you need to walk a short distance on gravel. ”
