”The carpet and chair were filthy even though I was in a renovated room. I got a severe sinus infection from the air in that place, the air conditioning I suspect. Breakfast is packaged food and fruit with very weak coffee and no decaf.”

”My son and I stayed for two nights. The rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, great pillows. Service and complimentary breakfast with so many options was awesome! Loved the waffle making station! I had a chance to try out the hot tub and the jets were fantastic. Don’t change a thing about them and I’ll definitely be back!”

”Priya was helpful she cleaned out room People at breakfast were very friendly and helpful The washrooms at pool were not so clean They bring kids to swimming lesson but after that the pool get very dirty so needs more care of the people specially when they get kids there from the town ( looked like to me they seem not to be hotel guest) Downstairs washroom very dirty when I had to sue it later in the evening because our own bathroom was busy”

”The exterior of this hotel is not good, however the front desk person was great, the room was clean, beds were very comfortable and quiet despite the hwy, more like white noise. I would book again.”

”This hotel is convenient, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are dated and definitely need a refresh. The attached restaurant was a bright spot. Moxie is WONDERFUL and not to be missed.”

”The sink full dishes. The smell was old musty. No coffee The bed mattresse was hard pillow even harder. People doing drugs in next room up all night. Would not recommend this place at all. Should've slept in a park.”

”The owner of this property shows no pride of ownership! No attempt to make the space welcoming and attractive: teeny tiny bar of soap, questionable orange coloured shampoo (teeny tiny bottle), threadbare towels, taps that don’t match, door mat split…. The place looks very tired. And it cost $200 plus they took a $200 damage deposit. Oh my! This for a stay that barely rates one star. Certainly it does not match the photos on Expedia! Would not recommend this hotel/inn!”

”Air Conditioning worked awesome, hotels not fancy but the price point was ok. No coffee on site or in your room. No filtered water to drink, no food on site. Just a basic room that was just fine. Pillows sucked but the bed was good.”

”We enjoyed our stay. Our hosts warmly welcomed us and served a delicious breakfast to us each morning ($10 Canadian each). They also suggested several good local restaurants for dinner. If we visit Surrey again, we’ll definitely stay at Sunny Island again.”
