  • Summary:

    This quaint 2 bedroom, 2 bath beach bungalow is located just 9 houses from sand. It has a large sun porch and outdoor patio with a BBQ. A spacious living and dining area. Bedrooms are compact but cozy, as the home was built to serve as a beach house getaway back in the day. The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second has two twins. There are two full bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower and the other with a tub-shower combination. There is 1 parking spot on the street behind the home



    The Space:

    127 30th St is professionally managed by Newport Beach Vacation Properties. This value original Craftsman cottage on the corner of Balboa and 30th Street was built in 1923 and has been charming visitors ever since! One block from the beach and walking distance to the Newport Pier, shops, eateries and groceries, you won't have to move the car once you park (except for the street sweeper).



    The vintage and rustic cottage has original hardwood floors throughout. The living room is airy and comfortable and has a sleeper sofa for an extra guest. The dining room has a beautiful hardwood table that seats 6. The kitchen has a dual sink, oven, stove top, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator and cute breakfast nook with built-in seating. The home does not have a washer or dryer, but the local laundromat is just across the street. This home is original from the 30's with no frills or updates but priced for location to the beach.



    Bedrooms are compact, as the home was built to serve as a beach house getaway back in the day. The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second has two twins. There are two full bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower and the other with a tub-shower combination.



    The sun room is the perfect spot to curl up with a good book. The front patio has a table that seats four and a charcoal BBQ, great for grilling up family favorites.



    The garage is used to store bikes, surfboards and other beach gear. One parking space is available on Balboa Boulevard parallel to the garage door (except during street sweeping).



    The location below the 28th St Jetty is convenient for exploring the area on foot or by bicycle. The Newport Pier is a quick stroll away with shops and local eateries galore. The grocery store is a quick trip away at 32nd St with more shops and restaurants. The newly renovated Lido Marina Village with its high-end restaurants and boutiques is a few minutes beyond. You can rent an electric boat to tool around the harbor or enjoy a meal with bay views.

    -10 pm noise curfew ordinance Strictly enforced by Newport Beach Police

    -Must be 26 or older to book

    -Must provide your email and be able to access our company online portal for house info.

    -No parties or gatherings.

    -We try our best to keep updated on remodels/construction happening around our vacation units. However, construction can pop up anytime in the City of Newport Beach without notice. N.B.V.P is not responsible and will not issue refunds due to neighboring construction. City construction hours are M - F 7am to 5pm.

Quaint and lovely beach house

We Loved our stay!! If you are looking for modern this is not the place for you. We LOVED the quaint feel and cozy atmosphere of this 1930's beach house. It has lots of room, is super close to the beach, and was a wonderful stay!! All our needs were met, and we will stay again.

This beach house is charming… a bit older, but spacious, easy to access and perfect for our trip. We couldn’t get maintainence out one day, but we left the next… the first day we needed them they were super fast.

Awesome Location

The Burr White Realty Staff were an absolute pleasure to work with - they were flexible with us when we had to switch our travel dates due to having a sick kid. The location of this rental was hard to beat as there was everything you need within walking distance, even a grocery store! We also had a parking spot right in front of the garage which was so convenient.

Old beach bungalow

This property is a very old property smelled like old people when we walked in rooms are small 1 small car parking nice porch to put all the sandy toys, towels and bikes that is secure it is very close to pavilions grocery store close to nice restaurants and a very short walk to the beach! And that’s really what we came for!

Great little house for my husband and my vacation to Newport Beach.

Walking distance to beach, shopping, restaurants, including 24 hour doughnuts, grocery store. Great sun room and front porch to sit on. There is some road noise, but you’re at the beach 😊 As the management company will tell you, pay attention to the street signs and street sweeping days, they are all different.

This piece of history was so quaint. Felt like stepping back in time with the light fixture yet amenities for the modern day. We walked everywhere. The location is perfect for all of the amazing spots Newport offers. Don’t forget to Bring your own towels for the beach. Burr white was so wonderful and professional and answered the phone with all my questions. We will be back for sure!

Super charming historic house in a great location!

We loved staying here and would definitely come back again! Not sure if it had been booked in a while though, because did not appear to have been recently cleaned or at least not cleaned thoroughly and was very stuffy when we arrived. Nothing that would keep us from staying again though. It is in a great location near grocery shopping, beach, boardwalk and the pier.

Reviewer Comments: If you are looking for a place that is walking distance from everything you could possibly need and want at the beach, this is the place. Door to shore is about 1000 steps. Grocery store and restaurants - even fewer. Newport Pier - easy 10 minute walk. For the place itself - if you are looking for a place to put stuff and sleep between trips to the beach, bike rides along the promenade, and bars and restaurants, then this is your place. If you are looking for a comfy home to go along with all of that, then here are a few things to know.1. It’s a lively beach community on W. Balboa Blvd. They have good windows that help cut down noise. On weekends it can be busy with both cars and people walking along the side of the house. 2. This place does not have designated parking. It says “garage”, but this garage would at best fit a Mini Cooper and you’d still have to be super skinny to get in and out of car. The garage faces W. Balboa so backing in is difficult. If you drive here, find a good parking spot on the street, then walk or get a taxi/Lyft/Uber to your destinations outside of the beach. Caveat-there are days when you have to move your car for street sweeping or you get a ticket (happened to me twice). There are signs and you can move your car before 8:30 and avoid a ticket. 3. The house has a nice living room and a great sunroom. The rooms are small and beds are hard. Also, the bedding is basic and you have to put on the sheets yourself. Towels are thin. Homes I’ve rented before, the beds are made and they have much thicker towels. Kitchen has plugs in 1 location and appliances need to be switched to use.4. The house has no beach items like towels or chairs. You have to rent them through a linen agency at an additional charge. The homes I’ve rented before in the area have had all beach stuff included.5. Reminder: there is no laundry at the house. There is a laundry mat across street.

Spacious cottage; Perfect location.

Our family of six LOVED our stay at this house. It was a short walk past a few other houses to the beach. No streets to cross. The porch was great for rinsing off, the house has lots of windows for air flow so we were able to keep it cool enough even in August. There were a lot of options for lounging, gathering, and eating—several couches and chairs, benches, two full size indoor tables, porch seating, etc. We also loved that there were two good-sized bathrooms with nice showers. The house is old, probably 1920’s era, so everything has several layers of paint, but the windows are new. I liked the original hardwood floors, built-in china cabinets, solid wood doors, and other original touches that evoke the historical Newport Beach appeal. The rental agency was great to work with, sent lots of helpful info prior to our trip and even called us the day of to offer an early check in since the house was ready a few hours early. Everything we needed was within a block or two—grocery store, surf shop, several restaurants. All in all a wonderful experience and we would stay there again!

Newport Beach is always a hit!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always, we had a wonderful stay, the house was perfect and the staff at Burr White are the best! Best vacation spot ever!!
