”Website not updated. Staff struggled to give correct information.Lovely quite room, hotel has so much potential but lacking in many areas. When teething problems ironed out I'm sure it will be a great place to stay in an outstandingly beautiful area.”

”This was our second time in the hotel. We asked for the same room (in advance) and we got it . I wish there was air conditioning in the rooms. I love the little tea room with daily cake! It makes me feel like on a skiing holiday in a chalet”

”The hotel was very clean. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Never stayed at a Days Inn before but would certainly stay with them again. Although the hotel was on the m1 we didn’t hear any traffic noise. There was no restaurant at the hotel but services was next door”

”We enjoyed our stay at Makeney Hall. The first night we arrived late and the couch pull out bed had no sheets or blankets. The front desk staff was very kind and went and found what we needed and we were very grateful. The room was nice size and the grounds were very beautiful.”

”Good location, good price. Looks lovely from outside. However, inside, carpets needs cleaning as our feet were sticking to it. Kids room light was flickering, twice approached different members of staff but nothing was done. Not enough mugs in the room (only 2 in a family room).”

”Everything was great until the boiler fired up just after midnight and I realised thats what was in the cupboard 3ft from my pillow!
Dont think we will return which is a shame as the location and the staff were brilliant but a boiler in the bedroom Really!!!”
