The vacation rental (30 square meters) features a private entrance, a kitchen with its own stove/oven, a refrigerator, a bathroom with toilet, a TV, Wi-Fi, and a private outdoor/garden area. Bed linens and towels are included in the price.
The cozy living room opens onto a private south-facing terrace/garden area, making it a wonderful place to relax. Next door is the bedroom, which is equipped to sleep 2 people. The living room features a sleeper sofa that can be used to accommodate 1 additional person or 2 children, if needed. You can enjoy sunny hours in the private south-facing garden area.
Note: There is a ceiling beam in the living room; due to the rather low ceilings typical of older buildings, we ask taller guests to be careful in this area.
The sound of the sea, the salty, fresh sea air, the call of wild geese on their daily flight paths, the vast starry sky, and the tranquility and peaceful atmosphere make your vacation here truly special. The lovingly landscaped flower beds in the courtyard and on the grounds, with their small seating areas and artifacts from the former farmstead, as well as the fruit tree meadow, create a wonderful atmosphere.
The sea is 600 meters away through the former farming and fishing village. In the mornings, you can marvel at the most beautiful sunrises here, and during the day, the beach—with its view of the lighthouse—invites you to linger and take relaxing walks in the evening hours. Winter highlights have often included impressive natural spectacles such as the Northern Lights and the ice forming on the freezing sea.
The peninsula on which the small village is situated captivates visitors with its unique flora, fauna, and birdlife set against a wondrous natural backdrop. Its diverse network of trails invites you to go hiking, biking, and engage in fitness activities such as morning jogs.
Towns with good restaurants, shopping, and medical care can be found in Gelting, Wackerballig (about 5 km away), or—with a larger and more diverse selection—in Kappeln (about 15 km away). Cities such as Glücksburg, with its moated castle, and Flensburg, with its various events, as well as Eckernförde, are easily and conveniently accessible by car (and, in some cases, by public transportation). Nearby attractions, such as the Viking village of Haithabu, Gottdorf Castle in Schleswig, Germany’s smallest town, “Arnis,” on the Schlei, and the Maasholm and Holnis peninsulas, are all worth a short trip.
We look forward to seeing you! A warm welcome to this special place: the Lichthof in Angeln.
