”Great place. It was even better than we expected!”

”This is only sort of kind of the whole property, Kyoto has very strict tax laws and needs to have a front desk and therefore part of the property is that, additionally the upper floors are inhabited, but none of that matters really because of how wonderful the people and the space are.”

”The person that checked us in at the check in counter was amazing”

”Lovely little ryokan, very traditional and homely. Traditional breakfast was tasty.”

”Lovely place to stay in an area of Kyoto that’s close to a few large, beautiful shrines. Really great room complemented by a wonderful, helpful staff. Would love to stay here again!”

”Great for solo travelers with a car. The covered parking is convenient and the staff was polite.”

”Good quiet neighborhood even though it is next to the overhead rail system. ”

”The staff is very friendly and hotel is beautiful. the only complaint i have is i ordered Japanese breakfast through expedia.”

”Lovely, quiet ryokan. Beautifull small garden. Lot of young travellers. Cozy kind of youth hostel. With taxis and busses one can reach whatever place. Lovely personel, except the owner whose moods vary a lot depending on alcohol intake. In three nights the mouldproblem in specially naths started to produce healthinfluencies. No smoking-place and in that meaning very pleasant.”

”An amazing place if you want to experience a more traditional house in Kyoto, instead of sleeping at an hotel. Has everything you need from kitchen to a traditional futon. Would love to come back again. The bus is really close and the subway is not far from the house either. So easy to get around town.”
